The glass place I went to had to get it as an assembly, said it was bonded together. I ended up shelling out $600 to get a used one installed. Not fun.

I had a sliding rear window though. My glass place didn't have the stuff to bond in house for those. I dunno. It was I think $150 for the install, $450 for the winow and materials. They said that on most domestic trucks they can replace just one window but this one was different. That was the case on my f250, $100 and that's all it took to fix.

They quoted me $1000 to buy and install a new sliding window. And this place is a small town business that is usually reasonably priced with fantastic customer service.

yeah I think you may have to get the whole thing replaced, if you want the sliding window... the housing unit is still one piece I believe. I broke one too and safelite? guys said they had to replace the whole thing... best of luck.

The non slider windows aren't that bad though. Much cheaper. I stuck with the sliding window cuz it was the only comfort option I could pay extra for on my 2011 regular cab... stubborn and dumb, I know, but I like my slider...

What is the story behind the broken glass? Is it just fractured/cracked or are there chips too? If it's just a crack, use some clear silicon and a tooth pic to patch it up. It'll look better than duct tape and will keep water from creeping in if it is really bad.

Hmmm, I'll have to think of something tomorrow while I'm down there with the truck. Do you have access to power/cutting tools. You maybe able to fabricate a makeshift lexan/plexiglass window. It would take some precise measurements, but it would work most likely. Use some sealant around the edges and let it thoroughly dry. Least it would keep glass shards from flying around inside the cab. Then again, duct tape would be much simpler. :notsure:

Just looked and there are quite a few choices on ebay. Looks like most have dark tint though. Or try a auto wrecking yard?
