    If you OffRoad that often maybe look into Icon or Fox? They are supposed to be the cats meow.

    OME and Bilstein, as I understand, are good quality, less extensive, general use systems that are OffRoad capable.

    It's like anything else man, everything has pros and cons. The OME shocks are fine if you don't insist on going 30mph over speed bumps, and even then you'll just hear a "clank" from the shocks. A properly weighted front-end will reduce the frequency and intensity of that as well, and since you have a bumper and winch, you'd be fine with the heavier 886 coils.
    I actually did and only saw "Mine did the same thing", and thought maybe you could more fully qualify why you don't like that, or why you consider the off-road performance of the shocks sub-par (neither of which you did). They're certainly not the high-speed Fox or Icon shocks, but I think what's necessary is for people to step back and think about what they actually need. If you are running off-road trails, moderately difficult OHV areas, overlanding, or something other than the extremes (baja, rock crawling, etc.), then the OMEs are perfectly capable.

    I'm sure you are a cool dude like other folks are saying, but we gotta keep it real here, it just sounds like you didn't know what you were buying. And that's fine, just don't come in here screaming that the product is sub-par because of that, especially when the very feature you are displeased with is intended to keep the shock in working order.

    At least once a month, and the OME kit is a significant upgrade over my previous stock setup. It's certainly not the Fox or Icon shocks, but the OME shocks respond very well off-road, if a bit rough since I have 886s without a bumper (should be here in 3-4 months).

    If I were looking for information, then I would 100% agree that its on me to go find it. But when someone is presenting an opinion, it's their responsibility to back it up, not require other people to go find information that supports their opinion.

    I should apologize as well, I'm well aware that I come across as angry over text, even though I'm not. I talk the same way face-to-face, but tone and inflection don't come over at all via text, so it reads really bad.

    That post helped provide me some clarity on your experience, thanks.

    For what its worth I liked my OME suspension more than my bilstein 5100s. Found the OME to be a much better ride. "Over bump goes bang" sucked, but i could deal with it. Then i went with Kings.:D And i like my Kings much more than my OME. Night and day difference.

    I wish i would have just gotten the kings from the beginning. Buy once cry once.

    i have the TRD Baja suspension which is basically a TRD valved, non adjustable 5100 and i get no knocks going over bumps. that being said i dont do 10mph on speed bumps. when i see a speed bump on the horizon i floor it an try to get at least 45 or so :D:burnrubber:
