1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
Had my ac quit working. Found out it was very low on freon. Shop filled it back up and I smell it through the vents. Evaporator core needs to be replaced and the expansion valve all at 41,401 on the clock.

I dunno... I think the OEM 2011 grille is a really good looking part. My Satoshi is colormatched and I actually think the OEM chrome grille goes better with the silver truck.

Eventually, I think I am going to find another chrome grille shell and swap it onto my Satoshi.

Who knows though. I like having both options

No prob. I dig the Pro grille a alot. Honestly, Id love to see one with a chrome shell. I think Im the only person on this whole forum who like chrome.

I know I am new to these forums but have been on T4r for a while. I want a color matched grill!!! Satoshi is a plus but I am good with either center. If you are interested in selling/swapping/mix of both the complete grill or even just the outer please let me know. I am hoping we are same color. I am a silver 2009.

I hate all chrome. I've eliminated it all inside and outside.

Typically old dudes like chrome, which on older cars it's ok, but on the tacoma it looks tacky

Me no likely the chrome. I ordered the Customcargrills grill and the TOYOTA emblem,
EMBLEM, RADIATOR GRILLE - 75311-90K00. I guess I will have a small project coming up.

This is the look for me.

Before: this happened because of a lack of hanger between the cats and the tailpipe:eek: It actually split soon afterwards and ended up dragging it down the road for a bit.

    Crapp welding job from before

    My roadside fix
After: Brought it to a custom exhaust shop where he cut out the problem, fixed it the right way, added three hangers and laid down some nice welds:thumbsup:

He even checked it for air leaks with some sort of stethoscope. To me, it sounds even better now too. Very pleased with the final result! :D

I had a similar thing happen to me years ago in my 86 4 Runner....I was buzzing along on the highway, heard a loud "bang" and all of sudden my truck sounded like a top fuel dragster lmao! it broke off right after the header and just fell out on the highway! whoops!

I'm going with the pro grille for my truck. Both grilles look good IMO.
