Dash is still apart but I'll fix that tomorrow. It's too dark and I decided I wanted to go a step higher than the LEDs. Anyways here is my green for right now.

^^^no, im really diggin it too!! I like it much better than blue that seems to be the most popular. Never thought of green since its green stock(98-00 atleast), just sickly green. But that green is nice!!

My favorite color is green so that's why I went with this color. I had problems with the shifter because the LED wouldn't stay in place but I finally got it to work.

Probably you have a "current leak" in your brake lights. Or possible bad ground on the tail lamp. Do you have modified stop/tail lamps?
With the "current leak" when you press the pedal come current is going from stop light via tail lamp back to the circuit, which has all dash lights and also open door buzzer.

I have JDM ASTAR 1157 installed as a Tail/Stop light. JDM ASTAR 1157 has a current leak from Stop to Tail light circuit and after changing my front markers to LED I saw exactly the same stuff.

Another picture for anyone that's thinking about getting green LEDs. I went a step higher and color matched my interior. She looks better during the day or night.

I have LED front blinkers from Harbor Freight..I have a 1997 Tacoma but installed 2001-2004 tail lights as I liked the look over the flatter stock tail lights. Could any of that have something to do with it? I do have the hyper blink issue but its never really bothered me.

Not blinker, but tail light, yes. If you have volt-meter you may check your tail light connection.

    1. Measure the voltage between chassis and negative contact on the lamp when you step on the brake. If it shows more than zero than your negative wire from the tail lamp is bad.

    2. Also measure the voltage between chassis and tail bulb connector when you step on the brake. If it shows more than zero than the brake bulb has a leak to your tail light circuit.

for 13 dollars or so EP35 flasher from local autoparts store will fix your hyper-flashing.

all the sudden the problem stopped. for a while there the right blinker made the dash lights flash too. I will see it come backs and try to track down wherever it is the tail lights ground too.

If either stop or blinker turns your dash it is a tail ground issue on either lamp. Loose contact by the lamp or by a ground point where the return wire is attached.

cool seeing how the problem comes and goes i was suspect of a bad ground. I will pull the tail lights and see how far I can trace the ground wire.

Changed the 4 194 bulbs on the cluster of my 99 tacoma last night also changed the ignition light and the hvac to leds. I am having a issue now though. My turn signals are not working on the cluster and outside on the truck? Also noticed my ebrake light and my hazards are also not working? Did I miss something or did I burn a fuse?

Anybody have the "cool white" LEDs in their dash? Wondering if anybody has a pic of any?
