Pretty basic, no tow or JBL. They wanted $33,400, I wanted $32,000 and ended up wrestling a few hundred more out of them on my trade in.

Interesting. Assuming you got the SR5 Appearance Package w/o Entune Prem/Park, that invoice should be have been close to 30,500. 32000 seems high if I am correct.

I put a deposit on a 2016 TRDORDC with Tech/JBL at Oxmoor Toyota in Louisville. They said it would be Christmas before I got it. Two days later, I thought, wait, there's this internet thingy. Jumped on cars.com and found exact truck I wanted 433 miles away. Oxmoor couldn't do trade so they refunded my non-refundable deposit (kudos to them) I called up Russ Darrow in West Bend, WI who knocked a grand off my 2016 TRDORDC's MSRP. Worked out deal over the phone. I flew up a couple of days later to pick it up. Think total price was 38,900. Not sure if that was just their price or if they did it to cover my airline ticket, but hey, I'm not questioning the gift!

    Dealer Warranty (6Y/100,000 miles) ($1500)

    Pre-TTL-34,025
OTD-36,578 (gotta love MA state tax)

Probably paid more than I should have, but with the rate they're flying off the lot in the NE they were not too keen on going even below their MSRP. Used an Edmunds offer to get them down to 32,525 before taxes and warranty.

I know most people don't usually get dealer warranties, but I financed ~23,000 for 5 years and wanted a warranty for the duration of at least the finance period.

This just backfired on me though...Got a call around 4pm today that my truck was in at the dealership, a week early!! Only problem is that I leave town tonight on vacation, and the dealership is 1.5 hours away vs. 20 minutes away, so can't go get it until after vacation!!

but mine at Toyota of Pullman. traded in my 15 with 3500 miles and got the Atkins engine with the auto, crew cab sr package for 3000 more than I paid for the access cab with the 2.7. the 16 has many more options than the 15 sr model did. Went Toyota of Pullman. very happy with the trade in value and the 29500 for the crew 16 model I bought.

Yesterday I picked up a BBP Limited (7182) with tonneau, tow package and carpet mats ($329?!?). Sticker was $37,309, I got it for $35,900 +TTL.

Not the best deal I'm sure, but I was able to get them to give me an additional $1000 more on my trade-in than two other dealers had offered.

Keep it up guys, looking at pricing a 16 now and this is helping. Dealership stinks though. Won't even give you a price, won't order. New dealership time.,,,

I was wondering if you guys could provide some insight on whether or not I'm getting an ok deal. I've secured a DCSB Sport 4x4 M/T with the premium package and tonneau cover, it's supposed to be here in the next week or so for me to test drive. The price they quoted me at was about $35,500. Any help would be appreciated!

I paid $35,000 for that same configuration, except it was the OR instead of Sport package. Based on what's been posted here, I think it's a pretty good deal (and depending on your state, it could be a great deal). In addition, I bought a white one, which isn't my favorite color, since they had it in stock. If you're getting the exact color/config you want, then I think paying an extra couple hundred is a good deal.

    42.5k out the door

    I'm sick of two arguments.

1- This isn't a "real re-design" You must be on crack. I traded my 13 for this, and this is hands down a different truck, completely.

2- "How can you justify 40k for a Tacoma?"
Look around. Go get a canyon or a Colorado for a couple grand cheaper if that's what you're in to. But this is the nicest truck I've owned. Does everything but make breakfast. Compare the options and the quality you're getting. This was worth every green dollar. I love it.
