I've been wanting to run some trails/camp around Idyllwild, is Bee Canyon 2wd friendly? Those pics look like its a pretty smooth trail, could be wrong but I just thought I'd ask.

How difficult is that trial? I have 4WD but my tread is getting somewhat low. My grandparents have a cabin in Garner Valley so I'm up hwy 74 a few times a month. I've done Thomas Mountain once and Black Mountain twice.

I'd be done for another day meet out at Gorman in December and January, all my friends are coming back for xmas break so I plan on showing them what I do in my down time hahahaha. I'm unsure if I'm going, where they are entering is a bit far from us and after Gorman my gas money is a little low. We shall see, or maybe I'll enter from Corona and try an find you guys halfway through hahaha

I believe I conquered this trail in a 2003 Kia Minivan, not difficult at all. The little water puddle area usually has a few of Hemets finest hanging around.
If taking this trail up the first part has a lot of blind spots, so tap the horn every now an then and keep the radio off so you can hear people coming. Each time I've been on this trail I've almost had a head on collision. There are a lot of dumbass dirt bikes riders and side-by-sides racers who fly up and down this trail, they all seem to think they are invincible. Oh and the lower part gets pretty dusty so visibility isn't great either.

If up in Idylwild area Santa Rosa Mountain isn't a bad trail. Some pretty good secluded camping spots up there too. Each time I take a trip up there I always seem to enjoy it.

Seeing as how I have only done Gorman/hungry valley from the poll I will vote that. I have done a awesome trail in Big Bear, but idk if it is Skyline Drive. @BLKTRUCK or @ODNAREM may know

Aww thanks I appreciate it! Any suggestions? I'm going to organize it ABC order later this week. Plus I enjoyed helping everyone out, lot of people have viewed this thread so if we're able to help them all than it's great! I just hope to keep this thread constantly going.

Once more people input some trails, perhaps organize it based on region? So people can quickly see that they can explore more than one trail in a day.

    For example:
-Cleghorn, Pilot Rock, any trails in Arrowhead and Big Bear are technically all in San Bernadino National Forest
-Trails West of the 138, on US 2, in Angeles National Forest
-Maple Springs, Harding truck trail, Indian truck trail (gates may be closed), Main Divide & other roads in the Cleveland National Forest.
    -San Jacinto/ Idyllwild trails
    -Hungry Valley Trails
-Los Padres National Forest for the northerners

    Catch my drift?

Curious if that book lists areas for disperse camping also if allowed on the trails
