2009 DCSB with a big ass plate front bumper and a winch. I use this truck as my daily driver and go off roading about every other weekend. Looking for about 3 inches of lift with good travel for wheeling.

I've looked into getting the Bilstein lift kit, but that is not available with 886s which is what I need for my big ass bumper and winch. And I heard the quality isn't great.

I've looked into the OME lift kit with 886s but I've read a ton of people say that it makes a really annoying clank noise when going over speedbump's or when off-roading (which I do often). And I heard the travel is not great

I have also looked into companies like King, fox, and icon, which seem like they will do everything that I need, but they are a little outside of what I'm trying to spend

And for the rear I think I will be going with the All-Pro standard leaf pack. Will give me the lift that I'm looking for but not be too rough or squeaky like dakars

The OME lift sounds perfect except for that clanking noise. I wish I could go on a test drive with someone who has that kit to see how bad it actually is

This looks good, but I would see if I can get it without the dakarsimage.jpg

Well that's pretty ridiculous. I've also heard that the OME shocks do not have as good of travel as the Bilsteins. What do you know about that?

OME. That is what I put on mine after weeks or reading and research and am very glad I did.
Very happy with ride and everything.

Too bad you didn't post this a couple weeks ago. Last month Demello was running a special on Icon lifts. The deal was free sliders with any Icon lift but instead they were able to just give me 20% off. Was able to pick up a Stage 2 Icon lift for just over $1500. And the Truck Shop in California has Built Right UCA's on sale for $509. I would call Demello Offroad and see if they will be running another special for Black Friday. I was led to believe they will be having another sale on just the Sliders at that time. So the way I did it I will actually come out even further ahead in the long run buying them separately. But I was going through the same ordeal that you are right now a couple months ago trying to buy a lift. Almost bought the Ultimate Toytec but read a couple reviews where people had gone from it to the Icon lift and couldn't believe the difference. Hope this helps and Good Luck!!!

An icon lift is starting to look pretty good. Can I pair the icon 2.0 rear shocks with the All-Pro standard to leaf pack? Or will that over extend them? Icons website says that the 2.0 shocks are only for a 1.5 inch lift, and all-pros website says that the standard leaf pack gets 3 inches of lift

I'm wondering if I can do this kit with light racing upper control arms and with the All-Pro standard rear leaf pack.

Be honest...are you really going offroading every other weekend?
The vast majority of people on TW that call themselves "weekend warriors" actually mean "keyboard commandos" and really only use 4wd twice a year, one of which times normally because they got stuck in a pile of wet leaves. If you are really hitting the dirt twice a month, it's a no brainier. Buy a quality shock that is tunable and serviceable.

Well in that case hopefully my firstborn child is a girl, that way I won't feel as bad about giving it away for truck parts...

Complaining about the price of quality parts that you'll actually use to their intent is equivalent to bitching about fucking a hot chick who doesn't have STDs. Put on your big girl pants and make big girl decisions.

I went with the headstrong package, Bilstein w/ eibach coils because I wanted about 2.25" of lift. For what you are looking for I would say that if you are trying to stay on a budget grab the Bilstein W/886 coils to hold the front bumper weight. I believe it would be under $800 to your door.
