Same origin for me...but the stereo comments. New truck folks turn off your radios and focus on problems.

Yeah it's not the mirror but it definitely sounds like it. I'm gonna take off my air dam tomorrow and try that.

That's an easy fix. Shove some fiberglass insulation behind the left side of the panel behind the seats.

Not really an easy fix......I've removed everything and seen the 2 vents on the rear of the cab... they each have 4 flaps that open as necessary to let air out... However, they are letting in a lot of road noise.... My next option is to spray sound proofing all over the rear of the cab..... Maybe even totally block those vents to see what is going on.... We need vents, but do we really need all that many...?? That's MY mission... I WILL find out..!! If the spray sound proofing works a bit, I may even add the "peel & stick" over it, to really shut the "F---er" up.

NO, I don't think I have the "howling sound" you mention... I did hear that noise in your earlier post....But not noticed it in mine yet,... It clearly could become very annoying....

Well, I have removed everything behind the rear seats.... The vents are very loose and do not seal well against the cab... I can move them inward about 1/4" and they are a sloppy fit... there is a rubber gasket thingy there but I doubt it's doing any good.

So... I sprayed a sound deadening product all over the rear of the cab... It's a flexible rubberised product that some guys call "stone guard", or whatever....I really concentrated on filling the gaps around the outside of those vents (that I feel are way too loose)...They WILL seal now... I took her for a drive today and I think I may have fixed it: However I did NOT remove the masking tape from those rear vents for this first trip. The doors close fine too... HVAC work fine as far as I can tell...!!

Tomorrow, I plan to remove the masking tape during a test run... 1 at a time.... and see if that increases the noise.... If it does, I'm looking into plugging or partially plugging the vents....

    Will update ya'll sooner or later...with pics...OK..?

Mine is at the dealer for the road noise coming right in the cab from the rear area. Possibly the cab vents.
It is so bad the dealer ship is bringing in a rep from Toyota to check it! They are keeping the truck for a few days
