KC or PIAA???

im kinda stuck between the 2... i need some opinions and point of views on the difference between KC and PIAA spotlights and quality between the 2 brands not just name either haha... thanks

Kinda always liked the PIAA more but dont know the difference.

Neither. Hella for me. But out of those 2 I'd say piaa.

Yea im running hellas too, but i herd a lot of good things about the PIAA 580s, but honestly i would get a light that is HID.

 

I've got Piaa 520 Driving lights and they're decent... I think the KC long range lights illuminate better from what i've seen. I got the Piaa's pretty much on impulse though cuz a local shop had them in stock

 

ohhh... I donno if its just me but i just see piaas on rally cars then tacos... but then again i like the look of the piaas cuz that have that cage setup...

Yea i agree they do look kinda cheap for the price. you can always convert them, I converted my Hella 700ff to HID.

 

right on... was it hard to do...?? cuz i converted my headlights to HID and it wasnt bad...

 

Naw it took less than 30min to do a pair, and some very minor trimming.

 

I was looking towards a 7-9 in light, and it was a debate between hella, the kragen hid, or Lightforce. I ended up getting 2 new hella 4000 at 160. while the light forces and kragens were 200+ for 2. I also converted mine to HIDs.

 

right on... i see a lot of people do that and its a HELLa of lo cheaper than just buying the HID spotlights... also what u guys think if i went with 2 different brands... this might seem like a wierd question but if i got 2 of each and put it on the tabs...?? or would that look just kinda weird...??

Naw not at all i see people running different brands all the time. Mostly they run pencil beams and euro beams.

 

my bad but what is "pencil" beams..??

 

From what I hear those Kragen ones are worth the money. They are bright and are pretty solid. Search for them on Pirate 4x4 theres some talk about them.

 

They gut i bought my defiant light bar off of ran the kragen lights, he said they are really bright and well focused but its hard to adjust the light angle.
