i wish someone had saved the first thread. i read the first couple of pages of that before whatever happened to it. that was a few days ago. every business has to deal with customers that are maybe a bit fickle or picky. those instances is their opportunity to shine. the responses kb gave to the op were not that imho.

he was indifferent/ some what put out/ maybe a bit of raised hackle. everyone get's busy and stressed out but, in that situation if the seller gives the customer a tiny bit of recompense it goes so far. it's all they want really. just a "my bad".

now 18 pages of bottle opener give away? i don't know why people just don't go to a local fab shop, tell them what they want, then they can inspect the product before they swipe... made for their trucks to personal specifications for less $$.

ps. bottles can be opened with any rigid object as long as you understand leverage.

Or we can support TW vendors who know our trucks and are part of the TW community instead of joe blow 2+ hours away who really doesn't give two shits about what you want and just wants your money.

Mostly agree with this statement. I would much rather support a TW vendor that has specifically tailored a product to our trucks than some random fab shop. Hoping to pick up some Voodoo products soon :anonymous:

So I'm still mad at Chad! He quit making the best basket.

    Think that will work?

Oh, and he bought a 4-Runner.

Wow, who anticipated the direction in which this thread would veer?

I am not in the habit of repeating myself, and I do not wish to do so here. I do not claim to have read every posting to this thread in the past 24 hrs, so if I’ve missed a legitimate question, I apologize. But most of the questions and declarations show a decided lack of reading comprehension, since I was pretty thorough in my first posting. For those who rather not re-read my initial post, here is a short synopsis:

I ordered a product. I was told that it had shipped. I wasted a total of 10 days tracking a non-existent shipment. When I complained about the owner’s lack of consideration, he ignored me and has continued to do so for the past month in spite of additional efforts to elicit some small admission of error on his part, or even a response. I was and am an unhappy customer, so I posted a vendor review. This review was the only thing that finally got a response from the owner, though still not directly to me. As I have clearly acknowledged from the onset: great product, poorly executed and packaged, and absolutely awful customer service.

My intent here was never to change people’s opinions of the vendor. People believe what they want to believe, and I would be a fool to think that I could change that.

I will, however, take this opportunity to describe what has happened behind the scenes in the past 24 hrs. Yesterday, a concerned TW moderator contacted both the owner and me in a valiant effort to reach an amiable outcome. This moderator assured me that the deletion of my first posting two weeks ago was a mistake, and not an effort to censor my concerns. I believe this. During day-long back and forth discussion, the moderator also asked me what the vendor could do to rectify the situation, since said vendor still refused to contact me, the unhappy customer, in any direct way. I reiterated that all the vendor had to do for the past month was say that he had erred in deceiving me about when the product had been shipped (intentional or not), and all would have been forgiven. No posted review, and a happy customer. But, now that so much time had passed, and because of the shameful way in which I had been treated, I did not want this set of bars any longer, and the only thing the owner could do to rectify the situation was to either refund or exchange the inferiour bars, at his cost. This information was conveyed by the moderator to the owner, who then flatly refused to exchange or refund my bars, and instead (expressly against my stated wishes) credited me $40 on a $170 order, at about 1910 hrs, ET yesterday. At least he has indicated that he did. I haven’t yet seen the credit.

The net outcome of all this is that I can no longer stand the sight of this pair of XRXS bars that I purchased, and since KB Voodoo won’t take them back, I will sell them at a loss. So I am now offering them to anyone but KBV for $100, shipping included to the CONUSA. If you want them, PM me. The description in my initial posting is accurate. They are new and unused, and I can send you photos if you like.

This has been one incredibly lousy experience for me, dealing with an obstinate person who, after screwing up, refuses to even acknowledge my concerns, and insists on calling ME a liar. I did not post here in order to gain TW support, but I have to admit my surprise at the effect a $10 discount has had on people. To those who did express support for me, and even those who simply considered that “maybe the guy who is NOT selling anything is telling the truth”, I say thank-you.

    Frank

Wow that is really shitty of VooDoo, especially after all the exposure for his business and the orders that he received from this thread. NOT GOOD!
X2, I want to hear from the 3rd party. Wait a minute, did VooDoo actually even respond to the original accusation?
I know someone that had a problem with Jumpers LED's and after getting nowhere with him privately he posted in his concerns in his thread. Somehow those posts miraculous disappeared!

I never said I wouldn't take them back. I said that I would give you a partial refund because you were unhappy.

I thought $40 would suffice because your actual concerns with the bars were purely cosmetic. Apparently I was wrong.

That said, I have now refunded the entire amount of the sale, including shipping.

You do not have to return the bars. You can give them away, or build sawhorses out of them, or do whatever you want.

    Good day to you.
