    Yup. Wasn't planning on getting a snorkel because they're around $400, but when I saw this thread and the other for only $130 I had to buy ASAP.

    Yes, it needs to be oblong in order to fit the tubing through the fender. Think of it as parallel parking the snorkel into the hole.

    Keep in mind, I was able to fit it fine with a 3.25" hole saw...not the 3.75"-4" most people use - there was no need for all that excess material to be removed

    Borla Catback Exhaust, Snorkel, 33s on either 16's or 18's, ARB Bumper, All Pro LT w/Walker Evan Shocks front and back, All Pro expedition leaf pack, 10,000lb Superwinch, Intake Manifold Spacer, Bed Rack with ARB RTT, Rotopack and Hi Lift mounted, Husky Liner mats and an air freshener from 1995.
    That's a good way to put it. Just file it out and try to fit it. Rinse repeat till you get it. Remember, you can always take off more, you can't put more on afterwards. (Unless you're really good with TIG and sheetmetal working.)

    I used a 4-1/2 hole saw. It's definitely bigger than I needed but it doesn't bother me that I made a bigger hole at all. The snorkel still covers the hole nicely. Also I mounted out through the A-pillar yesterday. Solid As A rock now. Got a little over zealous whilst torqueing it down but oh well. Who needs a non-dented A-pillar anyways

    Yeah I figure I'll start small and go up if needed. I definitely prefer to not overdo it if I can manage with less.
    What are those spacers you used? Never seen someone use those before

    They are a hard plastic spacer my dad brought home from work. That fit in prefectly. I used a rubber washer underneath them so I didn't scratched the paint but I really like how it turned out.

    As far as not cutting too much I understand not wanting to see the hole around the snorkel but if your already cutting away why not open it up a little and make life easier?
