I really want to go with blue, but wife would kill me if I switched vehicles now after year we have had! Will be at least a couple years unfortunately (new house, kid in college, another going in 1.5 years, house taxes kick in next year, new car for her, etc, etc...)...

Pretty lame, they said i couldnt weld it in the shop because its a libality. But its whatever, ill just have to borrow my girlfriends dads welder.

Nothing on the bumper. Just welding on the mounts.

I like the look of it but what about towing and license plate illumination?

That seems to be lacking. I do think it turned out well and looks like it will serve some protection. If it were me and I was going to wheel it I would want some wrap around protection. Those that have seen my 85' 4Runner would understand why.

Yeah, i guess. I dont really wheel as mine as much as some of you guys do. I just like going on adventures, plus i needed a bumper quick, i was comfortable welding on that, i didnt really know much about the other one, i knew someone that had welded together a kit like mine. Plus, if i make it my "weekend warrior" i plan on making everything more beefy so, in time maybe some more armor but for now it should do! :)

    Cool thread!

2nd taco - first was an 07, then to a 13 FJ, then to a 2015 Duramax, and back to a Taco - never lost the tacomaworld membership though!

Have an '11. Plenty of experience with these: I've installed 5100s on both Tacos, add a leafs, a stage 6 icon setup on my FJ, etc.....so anybody in the Dubuque area feel free to ask for help!

Just saying hi, didn't know about this thread!

    Snow much?

What was wrong with the duramax? A 2016 might be my next truck.

    Hey guys!
So I might be moving out to Des Moines in march! I got a job out there but ive never been in the area and don't really know anything about it. I figured yall would be the best guys to ask about things. What all is there to do? Im coming from east Idaho and I spend most of my winters skiing but seeing that Des Moines is super flat I don't see that working out. How are the ladies too hahaha I've heard mixed things hahaha.

Awesome man glad to have another guy on the page. What do you do for work? I visit Des Moines often and I find that there is plenty of things to see or things to do especially on the weekend.
It's totally going to be a lot different than Idaho for ya but I'm sure you'll find something fun to do to kill time like mountain biking or something like that.
