    If you can get the 2500 ltz for 40 grand. I would go that route. You'll be able to do more and have more cabin space. I'm sure the ltz has more features then the Tacoma too.

    The only snag is that once you get to higher mileage...enough said. If you plan on getting rid of truck before it hits 100k. Fine. If you want to keep a truck past that...find someone who works a Chevy plant and is willing to be honest with you... He'll open up your eyes.

    That's a tough decision. Seems like all you 'need' is a mid sized truck. Sometimes though it's better to have more then you need so when need for it arises, you have it. I really like the lines of the Silverado but it is bigger. Only you can decide what it going to suit your needs more. There is nothing worse the. Wishing you had a little more room or a little more towing power.
