That mess happened to mine as well. I ended up taking out the one finished side and driving it to a local shop. I guess I got my monies worth since they also had to deal with seized bolts on top of the struts when disassembling them.

This makes me want to take my shit apart now while it's new and put on some anti seize because I won't get to my lift until next year.

As long as you keep up on spraying the salt off you should be fine for a year. I think it's the accumulation of years of heating cooling getting wet and drying that really seizes the dickens outa these bolts.

I too am a new taco owner... From the Zanesville area (sometimes I'm in Columbus, sometimes Marietta, sometimes New Concord).

I picked up a 2001 TRD Ext cab 4x4 5 speed with 116k miles for $6750 out the door :)

Looking forward to wheeling a little and maybe meeting up some time!

Thank you sir! I thought so too. I couldn't find one for less than $7000 even with 150k-200k+ miles until I happened to find this one... So I had to do it

Exactly what I was thinking...air hammers have saved me on more than one occasion when I was at my wits end with rusty, stubborn bolts.

Update for those wishing to donate to Bryan's (RustyBlue) memorial fund. I've already received a lot of response from us Ohio guys. So far, we've raised $285 between 8 members. If anyone else is thinking about donating, please do so before Sunday at 11:59pm. I'll be withdrawing all funds collected from my Paypal account Monday morning to turn into a gift card for Lindsey, Bryan's wife. My paypal address is crazyaussie2686@yahoo.com. Please send via friends/family or gift so no fees are deducted and be sure to note that the money is for Bryan's memorial.

Thanks a lot to all those who have donated; I know Bryan's wife will appreciate the kind gesture!

    You offering?

Hmmm, I'm doing my lift today too, right now actually. When I say "I", I mean "Millersburg Tire". They have free snacks, a reasonably hot girl that seems to enjoy hearing about my trip out west, and the service manager is taking me to lunch here in a few minutes. Oh yeah, it's $200 to install it.

You should try that. It's waayyyyy easier.

    This was my "bad morning"

Actually I guess the truck driver and the 3 other involved cars had a worse day. I just wrote some paperwork on it. Flew 3 out, 1 most likely dead (in cardiac arrest when extricated), 5000 gallons of Hydrochloric acid in the tank and a huge amount spilled.
