Cutting would make it fit but you'd have to recess the entire unit at least an inch which would just make a hole in the bed.

At that point I'd just buy a smaller compressor and not destroy an expensive composite bed just to fit a too large, low cost compressor. :notsure:

I do the opposite, i keep my shackles and tow strap in that little cubby as they are often muddy, keep them in the bed until I can spray them down then they just go in the cubby, there are little drain holes in there too.

If you buy from Pep Boys does it come with that cool little bag and everything?

I would assume so. Front pocket there in the pic holds the air line and different attachments. I am pretty pleased with it for the money! Way faster than the cigarette lighter kind. If I had a Corolla those would probably suffice but they're too small for a normal truck tire.

I have a Sears brand compressor that came in a canvas bag. It fits behind the rear seat on my dbl cab. Unfortunately, I had to use it many times as the crappy Rugged Trails tires had numerous flats due to hard rock pieces on logging trails in NH/ME/VT. I think the unit was about $ 40 retail, but I got it at about $30 with one of their phony sales. It takes about 10 minutes for it to inflate tires to 35 lbs.

Neat, can I put my own inflator gauge on the end of that or do I have to use the ones that come with it? That black rubber and right there looks kind of funny and doesn't look like it will take attachments

I attached my own fittings inorder to attach to a goodyear rubber hose ( the one included with the compressor is crap). I also use this which is accurate

    This.

I bought the compressor for the compressor. The accoutrements have little value to me, and there are better options. That said, they work fine.

Yep, the hose can be replaced, and different accessories can be fitted.

....and dont do what I did the first time I used it. After filling up all four tires I then used my bare hand to remove the house coupling, bad idea. The sucker gets real HOT.

Im running the firestone compressor in the left cubby of my bed. Controls the airbags. Fits like a glove without doing any trimming. Dont know if you could use it to air up tires or not.

+1 to this!!! love mine, works great and for 45 bucks out the door with the cupon code online its win win win. Fills tires up quick too

Also she fits snug behind the rear seats in my double cab.
