I have seen many questions about is this a good deal, what did you pay, etc. If you go to nada and configure what you are looking at getting, it show msrp and invoice. Go to the dealer armed with that info, and you have bargaining power that they didn't expect you to have.

Don't go for that crap at the dealer. They tried to use the lowest average on my trade in using three different sites (NADA, KBB, and Edmunds(I think)). Wasn't having it.

I have found for the last 3 vehicles I have bought, that dealers aren't screwing anyone over anymore. I do my research and go in knowing what my number is, and I barely have to try to get there anymore. The salesmen aren't on commission in most places it seems (at least the ones I have gone to), and they have no problem showing me the MSRP and their invoice amount. They break it down and show me how much money they are pulling profit on the vehicles and it goes a long way in how I feel about shopping there.

Sure there are still some shady car dealers out there, but I honestly think the days of getting a rotten deal on a vehicle are gone. The internet changed the game too much.

This. A lot of places commission has disappeared and the way they sell is rapidly changing. You are correct, the internet has really changed it all
