I have a 2016 4x2 sport since this thread i started to pay closer attention when I'm driving.. just over 500 mi now.. def wouldn't notice if i wasn't paying attention but maybe just maybeeee i feel slight (not really) vibration at 2k rpm.. (Airplane mechanic 13 years now) lol

Anyways please keep updating if any new info. comes up guys!! :oldglory:

Tires can do that too. I had Goodyear Eagle GTs once that were a little funny until they warmed up. Once they were warm, though, it was like driving on suction cups. Grippy!

Does it go way when it's warm outside, or you've been driving for awhile?

Do you mean when you are in high gear (there are more than 3 speeds) ?

Since this is a drive by wire deal, there is no direct mechanical linkage from the pedal to the engine. So, whatever the pedal is physically mounted to (dash, firewall)? is shaking too. But you don't notice that? If you engage cruise and take your foot off the pedal, do you notice it then, somewhere else?

My guess and only a guess, is there is something occurring at 2000 that is causing the engine to 'hunt' and it creates a vibration. Early lockup converters in many vehicles had a problem at a noticeable speed, say 35, where the RPM matched the lock point then fell below and unlocked, creating an 'off on' or surging feel.

Experiment with what happens if you move as little as 100 rpm below or above 2000. Or look for the particular RPM where it stops on either side of 2000. That will be info that could be helpful to the tech doing your warranty work.

The vibration is engine based and felt ever so slightly in the gas pedal when 2000-2500 rpm(acceleration). Tires are not the issue and not there when not accelrating.

I'll have to pay more attention. It seemed to be less noticeable today, and it was warmer out. I'll report back after more testing.

So for me, it seems like being warmed up makes the issue happen more. It's pretty intermittent behavior, which is always fun to deal with. Taking it in to the dealer tomorrow morning to have them take a look, I'll post if I learn anything.

I was hoping the 2nd tank of gas would sort it out, but it's still there...

And my problem is at lower RPMs typically than other people here, so maybe it is completely unrelated. I notice this cruising around 1200-1800ish RPMs.

I've noticed that the more mileage on the motor, the less vibration I feel through the pedal.

I've got a Double Cab Sport and noticed the vibration you're talking about as well. I have about 1200 miles on the vehicle and it seems that it just gets worse. At around 2,000 RPM, you can really feel the pedal vibrating to the point that if I'm on the highway, i put it into cruise just to give my leg a break from the sensation(think pins and needles). I've got an apt to get it check out... they could only see me in a few weeks though which is a shame.

My '16 Limited 4x4 has the same vibration at 2100-2300RPM and I posted another thread a while back. I have 1200 miles on the truck and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I get it in both the steering wheel and the driver's footwell (can't speak for the passenger side). I was able to eliminate some of the vibration in the steering wheel by shoving it all of the way in and changing the angle; however, it is still at 50-60% of what it was. Found myself on a lonely country road with lightly rolling hills and no other vehicles so played with 'manual' shifter and the 2100-2300 rev range. I had originally thought it a problem at speed (75ish) and in 5th or 6th gears, both overdrives; but, discovered the vibration in all gears at 2100-2300RPM and it intensifies with even a slight load on the engine. Smooth as silk above those rev ranges.

My dealership, too, is 'investigating'. I have read some others think it will go away with miles.... Unfortunately, if it doesn't, this Tacoma won't last long in my garage as my hands go numb from the vibration on longer trips at freeway speeds...

Mine continues also and I've got it documented in the pedal, footwell, and steering wheel. Seems to have gotten slightly worse in the steering wheel since I originally posted. Dealership service manager also rode with me a second time and felt it in the passenger-side footwell too. Afraid I don't have any definitive answers; it's still under investigation. I'll change the the thread subject line since it's not just the pedal.

Is this issue being noticed more in 4x4 Sport models than 4x2 Sport models?
I gather that this issue is noticeable from jump street (if the vehicle is afflicted). Anyone have their vibration start AFTER purchase/test; kind of like sudden onset?

i have about 2500 miles on a DCSB Sport with a manual trans and haven't noticed any vibration in the pedals. I've been in 4hi on snow and ice and 4 lo on a rocky single lane.

I've had it for about 2 weeks now. The 1st week I had it, no issue at all. It slowly started creeping up to point where I'm saying to myself that this is not just a figment of my imagination. Even just the drive to work this morning, I can still feel a slight tingling in my foot(and that was 7 hours ago). It's to the point where I'm thinking of returning the truck if they can't find the issue because it's not worth the permanent damage it's going to do to my foot/leg/hip.

    I have an automatic transmission.

I also tested it while driving, to put it in neutral and rev it up to 2k RPM... I didn't feel the vibration in the pedal then... or less anyways.

I have a Limited 4x4 and I too feel a mild vibration when I get on it. Other then that the engine is smooth. I figured it was the direct injection kicking in because I know some direct injection motors tend to be buzzy.

Keep us posted on what the dealer comes back with.

Mine is Sport 4X4 AT. I saw another poster notice it in a Sport 4X2. Otherwise, as folks mention in this and other posts, seems primarily isolated to SR5, Sport, and Limited ATs. Pretty sure I had mine from jump street--no sudden onset after purchase. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it on my first test-drive because they only had an Off-Road for my original test drive. I wanted the Sport, which wasn't coming in until a week later. When it arrived, I did a quick test drive before taking delivery and felt it. But it was late, the salesman was chatting me up, and I thought it was perhaps just stiff (new tires, engine, road). Within the first 24 hours after delivery it became more prominent and I nailed it down to the very specific 2,100-2,300 RPM range. Took it back that weekend and the saga began. In hindsight, I should have asked to have the truck for an hour by myself before I took delivery.

I had mine back in the shop for another issue and spoke with the service manager. They said they've noticed it on other incoming vehicles and are trying to figure it out at upper levels. Thankfully I haven't gotten the "normal" line quite yet. But we'll see. This is pretty much identical to the issue discussed here also: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/unusual-vibration-at-higher-speeds.397620/.

Im getting old but not losing my mind, noticed the vibration soon as I test drove. Salesman was trying to tell me it was the new tires, no go for me. I'll have to test a different one to see if I can still feel it.
