Just installed the solid fold 2.0. I climbed in the bed to see if any light was showing around the seals after install. Cover seals pretty good but these gaps between the bed caps are pretty substantial. It is due to the bed cap not sitting flush with the actual bed toward the cab area. They are at the corners towards the cab. I can see water flooding in with heavy rain quite easily. I'm going to find something to fill them with. Other then that I'm pretty confident the bed would be dry.

No. Extang solid fold 2.0. I bet any folding tonneau cover or any cover for that matter that does not cover the caps completely will leak. These are big ass gaps, at least on my truck......

My Extang 2.0 should be here on the 16th. I expect the same result. I have a tailgate seal on order. If you can see daylight, water and dust will absolutely follow. I don't care, I bought it anyway. I'll seal it good myself.

Just to reiterate, it's where the bed cap meets the bed at the cab on the truck....nothing to do with the cover what so ever.....

Really a simple fix. Either fill the gaps with some black silicone or wedge in some rubber....I know people have complained about the bed being soaked, on my truck this looks like the trouble spot.....

Yup, black weather striping or a black RTV plug should do the trick.

I have a backflip (FiberMax) and the only issue I have seen is that there is a little leakage around the panels (not the seals) with a ton of water. Love my back flip and have it on for over two years and I have snow on it over the top of the truck and never had an issue with it.

so your problems are the truck's fault instead of the aftermarket tonneau cover manufacturer?

    logic; use it

I don't believe it's bad truck design as much as it is hurry up let get something out to the public design. I know we're all in a hurry to get the latest aftermarket products for our new trucks, but I'd rather wait a couple months for the aesthetically appealing and functional tested design to hit the market instead of half-assed attempts at taking our money. Especially when we're spending hundreds/thousands of dollars.
