anyone else's mother in laws drive them to drink?

Trying to get my fiance to my phone plan, because work pays for it and we can sell her phone for profit to throw into the wedding fund. So i ask her mom if she can check if her phone is in a contract or not.

Her mom unloads a tirade on me about how she has no idea the passwords to the accounts and needs her grandpa to call since they wont talk to her.

I call her grandpa and he says "ask her mom, she knows all the passwords and handles our account anyway"

Hahaha, that sucks. My mother in law luckily is freaking awesome and just encourages me to drink more when I'm with her. I hate dealing with that kind of stuff and having to go through multiple channels to get the info. I'm completely independent from my parents, but my wife has pretty much everything with her mom. Haven't had an issue yet though.

Mine always likes to say "oh my gosh, your knives are so sharp!" (like sharp knives are a bad thing), and then proceeds to cut herself badly enough for an ER visit.

Also loves to interrupt me whenever I am telling her something, and/or change the subject.

And always wants to make huge, overly complicated meals that destroy the whole kitchen. Same for cocktails or other things we don't want or like, and leaves behind a bunch of gross shit and stupid "special glasses" we don't want or have room for. It's so fun and special.

Can't go to any restaurants that aren't basically meat and potatoes or Italian.

Always asks us want we want to do (usually we just want to relax and have some quality downtime). Whatever we say, she doesn't want to do it.

Really looking forward to Christmas in Chicago with the 4-mo old. I hear winter travel there is cake.

    But I'm not bitter.

Sometimes that would be nice... Wife has been asking for kids everyday for a few months. We agreed before we got married that we would start having kids at 28 which would be after 5 years of marriage and 10 years of being together. That use to feel so far away.
