This is what it looks like installed. It's a bit smaller than the stock one. And it has little "finger rests" on the front that the stock one doesn't. I like it. Pretty sure it added like 17 HP too.

    I knew I should have done a write up:D
So, depending on what panel? If you pull your blanks and find wires most likely it's just pre wired for accessories that you don't have. But if your talking about removing the entire lower center dash panel, its not too difficult. There's lots of write up and vids on how to take apart the dash.

To move the oem sub/aux plug is a matter of removing about a quarter inch of plastic on the switch body or from the dash panel. Get your dremel tools out boys:sawzall:

Thanks, I was hoping you had an easier method...the USB/Aux plug, does it release from the sides or top/bottom? I don't think I've seen a picture of it.

jaredc pretty much summed it up. It's a bit smaller and feels totally different. It has the finger grips on it, it's a pretty nice unit. The leather feel the same as the stock one. I have wanted one for a while now but I don't think I would pay over $50 for it. Speaking of, you can get them on eBay way cheaper than the dealer

    Question for you modification gurus..
I recently removed one of the switch bank blanks under the HVAC controls and noticed that 1: it is already wired, and 2: it appears the appropriate switch could be easily attached to the harness and plugged right in.

    So here's my question:
    1. Is the switch bank in fact already wired?
    2. If so, what switch manufacturer/design fits in that spot?
    3. Where in the fuse panel do they attach?
    4. Does the wiring extend beyond the fuse panel and terminated elsewhere in the truck?

    Thanks for the info!

The plug clips in at the top an bottom. Toyota creates a little puzzle piece configuration to fit Toyota switches in the dash holes. Now whenever I did all of this I did not remove any of my dash. What I did to run my wire was as follows.
    1. Remove blanks and disconnected usb/aux removed it as well
    2. Move wire harness over and trim minor amount from sides to make puzzle fit. (Dremel tool)
Plug in and snap switch in new home no visible alteration

For my OTRATTW switches it took a bit more trimming to get the holes big enough but as you could see once they are in you can't see the chop job.

To complete my wiring I pulled all my extra wire through the dash and coiled it up near the gas pedal. Them remove you AM/FM antenna and stab it through the opened blank holes. There is a small gap between the heater components to get the antenna to the floorboard near the gas pedal. Tape your wire to the antenna and feed them in as you pull it out of the dash backwards.
