I love 7018, but vertical is kicking my ass, I just can't get it perfect, and I have a job test (vertical 7018) on the 30th.

This is the writeup i used.

The funny thing is my overhead is good. But I have a tendency to hold to long in the middle on the vertical. I just need more practice to get my timing and angle of the rod down. Good luck on the test!

    For what use?

Overhead was easy, vertical is just difficult for me (and everyone else in my class), keeping the rod angle constant can be difficult also, but in the end it's all practice, practice, and more practice.
    Thanks man.

Yeah not sure what you are talking about. So you want to use the side markers for something other than turn signals?

I mean I guess you could but it's most likely illegal. They are most likely using LED's. My original sidemarker lights are pure white LED's and the turn signals that I now relocated to that location are still yellow bulbs. I have amber colored LED's coming so I can get rid of the "egg yoke" effect I have when all lights are off.

    Edit:
Just realized you might be talking about this truck:

But he's got a whole lot going on in his headlights. His build:

Anybody know of a possible skidplate black Friday sale? 4wheelparts can get skidrow plates for $275 and free shipping. But im debating between ordering now or waiting to see if there will be a blackfriday sale on any.

Which skid? Check out quadratech, they are a jeep site but they can maybe get them cheaper. I wanna say my IFS skid was in the $200 range.

I was looking at the skidrow IFS. Ill give them a call and see what they can do. Thanks!

Just gave them a call. Same price for the front skid plate but they have the transmission for cheaper than 4wheelparts. $276 for front and $210 for transmission.

You manual or auto? If you know someone who welds you can probably make a transmission one. For manuals the transmission doesn't hang too low so it's not much of a concern for me but I bought a piece of 3/16" plate custom cut for $36 that I plan on working with a friend on to whiskey bend and use as a tranny skid. Tranny skid is essentially a flat piece with 2 relatively mellow bends in it. IFS and t-case skids are the ones that are a bit more complicated IMO.

I have an auto. Yea. I was looking at the transmission skid and it looked pretty simple to make. The main one I want for now is the IFS. My buddy has a welding and knows how to weld simple stuff so I was gonna see if he could help me build a transmission one.
