Currently run 255/85-16 Cooper S/T MAXX on my taco, can't recommend them enough. I paid around $1250 for all 5 mounted, balanced and insured, which is actually cheaper than the KO2's and Duratracs. When you start looking at good tires, you're automatically in the $1000+ range.

    95 Taco:

Any of the tires listed would be good choice. I ran a set of the Authoritys in the same size and load range your looking at. They were a great tire and i had no compliants about them. I thought the overall traction was great. I ran them for 40k miles and they were in great shape when I sold them even after all the hell I put them through. I wouldnt have hesitated to run the Authorities for another 10k miles. I just got a set of the Cooper ST Maxx's and they have been great so far. The 255 was on back order for 6+ weeks so I ended up getting 235's and love the skinny tire over my 265's. I highly recommend you think about a skinny tire. Ive only had the coopers for 5k miles but I have no complaints about them so far. Best advice is look at what your need's are for a tire and then choose accordingly.

Well my sister looked at the list and X'd the KO2's and S/T's, she said she would personally go with the wranglers.

Well the sister shot down the S/T's so the ST Maxx's are my cooper choice.

Cool, how many miles do you think you'll get out of the coopers?

Yeah, so far the only 2 that are making the cut are the wranglers and ST Maxx's, but I really want the 255/85's so I'm gonna try to convince my dad to get the coopers.

    Hell No

Everyone says they get 45K-50K out of them, which is about standard. They're not super-aggressive and the tread doesn't chip off like mud tires do. I haven't seen anything to indicate mine won't last just as long.

    I want KM2s in 33x1250

Currently have BFG AT in a 33x1050 and they are a little skinny for my tastes.

I don't like fat tires on first gens. The body is too skinny for anything fat. Skinny and tall will take the cake for me!
