I still want a single cab Tacoma to bag and lay rocker.

I'd rather have that then any lifted Tacoma. :anonymous:

Not trying to be a dick or anything but I know it is going to come out that way... Why would you want to lower a truck? Isn't that what sports cars are for? Plus they get better gas mileage, much faster, and usually much cheaper. Just saying

    Not everyone "gets it."

It's okay not to. None of your points are the purpose of a modified vehicle, whether it's taller, shorter, faster, louder, etc,.

    The point is modifying.

I love old dropped yota's or datsuns. Not many newer trucks lend themselves to being dropped and bagged. I love my friends chevy. It's bagged so he can go up to stock height where he won't scrape. So clean and functional and makes it easy for him to haul motorcycles:

The thing about a lot of dropped trucks is they look best boxy and being square to the ground. I feel like the new design doesn't lend itself well to that.

I didn't own them in as much as They owned me. I was too OCD about that car . Would not drive in the rain, worried about where I parked. Washing it was a hassle because of swirls, The Corvette Club spent more time eating, showing and sitting in lawn chairs than actually driving. GM Service here sucked, The car wasn't all that much fun at legal speed limits.

I have none of those issues with the MX 5 or Tacoma. The Miata Club spends more time driving than parking, I don't worry where I park it or putting to many miles on it. I wash it in 10 minutes. Its a fun car to drive legal limits.

The Vettes were a bucket list thing. Did bought the T shirt and sold them. Actually made money on the 08.

While I wont be lowering my 3rd gen. I definitely like the looks of some lowered trucks (Datsun 520/521/620, Mazda REPU, Ford Courier, single cab 98-up Rangers, 89-94 Toyota pickups, and first and second gen Tacomas). I still want a 13B-REW swapped Mazda REPU.

Not knowing what it takes, would it be more difficult/expensive/labor intensive to lower a 3rd gen? Being that all 3rd gens are prerunner/4x4 height? (when the 2wd 2nd gens were starting out at a lower height)

the corvette has a sacrificial plate up front that scrapes when you bottom out. At least my fathers does. Thats most likely what you were hearing scrape. I'm a toyota guy, but i.m.o Corvettes are seriously badass cars. Damn they got some power!

I slammed my truck one time....hit a pole so hard it snapped it right in two. When I lower my taco I am gonna get some fuzzy dice to hang from the mirror and hydraulic shocks to make it bob up and down, put a big orange ball on my nose and wear a red floor mop wig.

My thoughts exactly. I remember in the late 80s and early 90s when I was modifying fwd imports (integra, civics, sentras,etc...) We got a lot of smack about why do we modify a fwd car and 4 banger to be exact? Same answer I gave them: to customize  Nowadays we have low 7 seconds/ high 6 seconds tube chassis fwd cars thanks to people wanting to do something different

BTW I would love to have a 2012-2013 Xrunner in red or blue and of course boost it too
