Case for Books and Manuals?

Anybody get a case for their owners manual? First Toyota I've ever purchased so I don't know if they generally come with one. My dealer handed mine over in a manila envelope with a bunch of other books.

 

Mine was in a 100% genuine plether case.

 

SMH the dealership I got my SR5 from was shady as hell. They wanted $40k for my truck which had a sticker of $31369. They added a bunch of dealer add ons to reach that ridiculous price. I really had to fight to get them down to MSRP. I guess I can't get mad though I still haven't seen my trucks specs in a 500 mile radius.

 

Mine was in the normal Vinyl folder.

 

Cases are given by dealers, not Toyota. So if you didn't get one, you can ask the dealer for one.. if they gave you an envelope, I'd just as soon assume that's how they roll.

 

Maybe not what you are looking for but might be a viable alternative. You could easily store your owner's manual and receipts for mods along with maps/Delorme atlasses and such....I have one and like it and have ordered some other items from them and find them reliable and quality gear....stay safe!

Mine came with the case

 

Cases have literally nothing to do with buying a Toyota. Dealers buy them and give them out, or they don't.

 

Mine came with a leather case. When I bought the truck, the sales lady brought me the book, it was not in the vehicle. I just assumed all Tacos came with one. I have the TRD OR model.

Came with case, but looks different than the two pics here. I would assume it is up to the dealer as mentioned above...

 

I got some godawful white w/ red lettering monstrosity with the dealers name on it. Tossed it.

 

That's the one we got with the truck - fits perfectly in the holder in the glovey. I figured for $36k is the least they could do to make up for all the drama at signing. There was a lot of interest in the truck so they wanted to sell it over the MSRP sticker even after they make me a lower offer then changed the price after I gave them a deposit. Car dealer name was Shady McShadermiester sheesh. At least I got a leather cover for my manuals.

 

lol you folks do realize that the "DK" option.

 

I want my case to be manufactured from 100% Chilean Alpaca foreskins

 

It was six bucks last year for the (DK) case option.

 

I wish I had known about the DK option.

I too was shocked that my new 2015 Tacoma did not come with a case for the owner's manuals as my previous Toyotas and my Mini Cooper did. So I bought this organizer after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, the manual can barely slide into either of the two spots inside and the organizer can't close once the manual is inside it. My manual is only 8.5"x5.5"x0.75". If your manual is wider than 5", it overlaps the spine, preventing the organizer from closing. Also the packaging states the item is 1.5" deep but the spine is only 1" deep. The package says the organizer is 5.75" wide but it's only 5" inside the flaps. If you want to put the maintenance schedule booklet, a map, the navigation/radio manual, or anything thicker than a single sheet inside in one of the other flaps in addition to your owner's manual, there's not enough depth to fit any of them inside unless you have a thin owner's manual. Your manuals, map, cards, whatever, cannot have a total thickness over 1 inch if you want to zip the case shut. I'm going to have to send this one back and start looking for a bigger one. = (
