    UPDATE (March 2023): I borrowed a 16-foot Ringo trailer from work and used it to help my girlfriend and her friend move; I somehow managed to average 17 MPG pulling the damn thing!

    UPDATE (October 2020: I put a trailer hitch on my truck, but I still haven’t actually towed anything.

    My Tacoma is still a "towing virgin" and I’ve never used the trailer hitch for anything more than the hitch-hauler (the only thing my family ever tows is our 18-foot boat and my dad's GMC Yukon fills that role). Nonetheless, I've crammed my truck full of various cargo, mostly cargo belonging to friends and family members. I've helped family and friends move, and I've hauled stuff to the dump. I've hauled a very heavy Zenith solid state console stereo/record player, a refrigerator, a drum kit, and the chopped up remains of a friend's deck that had been demolished. I'm always using my truck to help out at the bar where I work, including regularly hauling several thousand dollars worth of hard liquor (Whiskey, vodka, wine, etc) from the local Wine and Spirits store (Pennsylvania alcohol laws SUCK!) to the bar where I work.

    Never towed anything, but did bring home all new kitchen cabinets and countertops. Also just had the truck about a week and a half and made two trips to lowes, first brought back. 40 small bags of mulch, with about 30 red brick out flower gardens borders. Second brought a new grill and patio set home.

    I have a rzr 900xp that i plan on taking a few trips outta state with, just been so dang busy havent had the chance.

    What is the gear ratio in the Prerunner? I think my 2.7L regular cab has a 3.55 rear, limited-slip of course.

    My dad was in the Navy for 25 years and my family lived in Oak Harbor from 2000 to 2002! I was too young to drive when we lived there so I had yet to experience the joys of Tacoma ownership. I hated the school I went to and didn't care much for the general isolation of the area, but to this day it is my opinion that Whidbey Island is one of the most beautiful areas in America, if not the world.

    :thumbsup::oldglory: I would have to agree. As a kid, I could imagine you seeing many boring days and painfully long nights... However, as an adult having grown up in Los Angeles, I'm all about the isolation of this place.

    @ColoradoTJ

    Anyone who has ever worked at a bar knows that Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest drinking night of the year. This is no different at the bar where I work. My friend (one of the bartenders) and I went to the Wine and Spirits store to pick up quite a substantial amount of alcohol. That's about $4,000 worth of whiskey, tequila, rum, bourbon, vodka, and other types of hard liquor in the back of my Taco! I took the pictures yesterday right after we loaded up the truck. Note that the license plate is still in the back window because the damage done to my truck by a drunk driver still hadn't been fixed. Don't drink and drive, people! Seriously! Happy Thanksgiving fellow Taco owners and enthusiasts!
