I do love the Honda small engines, getting ethanol free gas in corn country is not an easy task. I use stabil and in my Honda lawn mower just run out the gas. In the Spring change the oil and fill it with gas and oil pull once or twice and I'm off. The snowblower has a made in China engine however. Crank is out of balance and is one of the roughest running engines I have ever owned. It is a beast and has electric start too, I know what you mean a BEAR to pull have had to do that a number of times. I run it out of gas and also drain the carb bowl. Fill the gas when it is time in the fall and more times than not no joy. I'm doing both this weekend, fingers crossed on the blower. My 2 stroke leaf blower doesn't really seem to mind it always starts and some years I have not even run it out of gas in the fall. She still starts.

My neighbor gave me a Honda lawnmower that had been sitting in a shed for 12 years. Removed the carb and cleaned out the paste, varnish, did a complete carb cleaning replaced the air filter and spark plug. Started up on the 2nd pull. Sharpened the blade and gave it to my sister for a lawnmower to use at her beach home. Impressed me a lot. Even the carb float was still useable.

    Afternoon all:
Last day of archery and finally got a legal buck in range this morning; 18-20 yds. and missed him: I hope!:annoyed:
I think I had an equipment failure, but not absolutely sure. I had thought about this, and have seen it posted on some crossbow forums. There is a little line on the stirrup of the bow where the paint is off, the expanding broadhead may have opened upon release due to the high poundage of the bow, hit the stirrup, and got thrown way off the mark. I have seen that same mark posted by others that had that happen. :annoyed: Fixed blade from here on.

    Dude :(

There's still rifle season to go though, right?

On the broadhead stirrup issue, personally, it does my soul good to see the old phrase "live and learn" still applies to even one of my favorite Cool Old Dudes. You'll be ready with the crossbow when that legal buck wanders in next season.

Yea, rifle ------------ and flintlock!
Was hoping to be done with the bow, at least it wasn't a super nice rack, I'd be sick! Of course it had to happen on the last day, and on the only legal buck I had in range.
I'm not sure if that's what happened, but like I said there's a good possibility from reading about others having it happen. That little straight scratch on the stirrup finish is a good indicator, thank goodness I know about that.
Yup, "live and learn"! The other one is; "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"! :D
I already removed the other expanding broadheads and 6 more fixed blade Excalibur bolt cutters are ordered.
If I don't do it right away I might forget!

Glad you found something that works.

Are you sure you really want me to "harvest a deer"?
That deer sausage is so good! :hungry:

Evening Carl... me, too, me, too!

Yes, deer sausage is yummy and I know there needs to be a hunting season to keep the numbers down :( I just couldn't be the one doing the hunting.

Oh wow sorry to hear that Carl. I have never been a fan of expanding broadheads, not sure now but they weren't even legal in some States I've hunted. Good luck!!

I hope it continues to work for you Susan! Just checked and 4.5 out 5 stars on Amazon and it is has Prime shipping. Going to pull the trigger I need it after today, thank you for sharing!! And good luck I hope your pain goes away for good.

If this didn't work, I'd have tried the penetrix - it is also well rated on Amazon, but more $$ Thanks. I like being able to see reviews to know if something really works.

Topricin is the stuff that is working and started very shortly after I applied it. The Australian Dream (and Blue Emu) didn't do a thing after several days of using.

That's like the other two creams I bought that didn't work for me, but reading the reviews, it worked for them. How is your foot these days?

    Morning all:
Interesting posts on various pain relievers. Seems like one works for one, and one works for another.
I know a guy that swears by Blue Emu, but Sue says it didn't work for her.
Here's something crazy I read, tried, and seems to work.
When first breaking the leg muscles in for hunting I will often get cramps, hate those!
I pour vinegar on a paper towel and rub it on the legs, calves, etc., and it seems to work! o_O
Might smell like vinegar for awhile, but that's OK!

Foot is better but I had a shot a few weeks back. I am still not 100%. after working outside yesterday I wore myself out trying to start a chipper shredder. Think I need to clean the carb. I need to finish vacuuming first. Carpets are being cleaned tomorrow.

Try it, the worse that can happen is that you will smell like vinegar! :D
I've already gone to bed, started to get a cramp, got up and wiped some cold vinegar on, went back to bed and had no other cramp happen.
Have done it more than once and it seems to work, why: I don't know, but it seems to work for me.
