There sounds like a click from over by the glovebox area maybe. That's all. I'll drive out in the yard tomorrow and try again. Maybe I need to let it roll or something. I was just stopped in N when I tried it.

 

Yeah, that is the relay clicking. You may need to roll some and it will lock in..... it has that same kind of sound like when engaging 4hi.... those sounds are normal.

 

How much you putting in?

I think instead of counting, i may just pour a bunch in a baggie and weigh it untilI get the 8oz i need.

 

1st time I switched on 4hi it took a few seconds to engage. Then when I switched back to 2hi, there was a pretty hard thud. It's been a smooth shift every time since. I almost wonder if prior owner never even used 4hi/4lo or locker. May be gummed from lack of fluid flow from no use? If it still won't lock tomorrow, I guess that's what warranty is for...
