Depends on if you want to take it apart

Good point - I'll prob mount it and make adjustments and use some light duty thread locker later on it after I figure it all out with the RTT mounted. Thanks!

No prob. I used blue thread locker so I could take it apart if I wanted. It would have held without it.

The bolts on the adjustable cross-bars?

I used a copper-paste, to allow the bolts to come out easily/not differential-metal corrode in place ... stainless bolts in aluminium tends to get a bit 'sticky' after a while.

Main-mount racking bolts to the roof-top anchors .. RTV'ing the bolt threading before securing in place to make waterproof, and capture the threads that much better, without being 'pemanent'.

I know this is in the 2nd gen section, and I have 1st gen. The reason for posting here is because I'm preparing for a Prinsu rack, although for the 1st gen double cabs! But I'm hoping people here have had some sort of experience with something similar. I bought this truck with the light bar on it and have wanted to remove it, finally got around to it but this is what I'm left with. A nice big hole and some adhesive from a piece of weather stripping. What would you recommend for filling the hole and removing that left over adhesive without messing the paint?

Maybe Bondo to fill the hole and mineral spirits or goo gone to get the adhesive

Honestly? I think this repair is well into auto-body shop territory. Previous owner needs to be found and heavily ridiculed for that install attempt.

What did he install it with, wood-screws?

Not Tacoma related but I have been working on some cool projects that are finally becoming a reality.
