That's pretty good. Seems better than what I see most guys on here saying they get. Then again, a lot of guys (at least the ones who post often) have lots of armor and upgrades that bog their rig down.

This is true. In my last car, I would get 17/18 regularly, but if I made a conscious effort to get more (and added some highway driving in here for fun), I could get 20-22. I expect a little better fuel economy after I've had the truck for a bit. Ya know, after I've settled into it and have "less" fun with it.

I could definitely be mistaken, but doesn't the caster look low? Camber on front left is a little low as well, I believe. Front right camber is good, as is toe.

:notsure: the steering wheel is straight again so I'm good to go for now. But I can bring it back anyday

Does anyone know how the Tacoma tachometer works? If I had a v6, how many pulses per revolution does it read? 3? I can't find any good info online that details how the tach gets its info. I have 2 pulses per rpm to work with.

Well don't take my word for it. I'm sure there are guys on here who know better than I do.

But I'm sort of like you in that regard. If the wheel is straight and the truck isn't going off to the side, I can't complain much,

IIRC I know most Tacoma owners push for the most Caster or Toe as much as possible. But I just needed it straightened so I can drive to Florida without too much "damage"

Well lots of caster makes sense in most vehicles. But I don't know too much about alignments; just basics.

Sometime next year, I'll also be driving down to Florida (but I'm in NJ, so quite a drive) because a good friend just moved there. I gotta get a few things with the truck taken care of beforehand - which will include alignment.
Oh and I can't take time off work during the holidays.

    Here are the ideal numbers:

    Camber 0*
    Caster +2.5*
    Toe 0*

Your toe and camber numbers are troubling. I can understand the low caster if you have stock UCAs but there should be no excuse for the toe. Camber is a bit asymmetrical too. That could be a result of frozen LCA adjuster cams. You may see significant wear on the tires in a long trip.

Its a good thing you got the lifetime deal because you are gonna need it. The way they left it is pretty lame. I think they can do better. I would definitely not be happy if it was my truck.

Not necessarily, I was getting about 15 or so before I weighed it down. I did the whole drive like a granny thing when I first got my ultragauge, only got about .5 miles better, so I said fuck it I'm gonna keep driving like I stoled it!

Oh hell yeah. If I only got a .5mpg difference from not having as much fun, no way would I keep at it. It's more important to enjoy a vehicle than to just try to use as little gas as possible. Now if I tested and was getting something like 3MPG better, then okay. A bit more granny driving. That shit adds up.

But we have pickup trucks, not ecoboxes. I didn't buy a V6 Tacoma so I can rave about how little fuel I use.

Fuck if I was getting 3 better I wouldn't really care, it's just so damn hard, though not being in the SF bay without all that bullshit then maybe I would.

Pictures of the LCA cams could tell us if your alignment is maxed out or you head a tech that didn't know what he was doing.

I just brought my in for that yesterday. Aside from the issue of the bolts being rusted to shit, so it'd take longer (not a big deal, I had nothing to do), they couldn't readily do it because apparently the trailer hitch the PO put on obstructs what they need to get to. So either I pay them $115 to do it or I take it off myself and bring it in. No way am I going to basically pay for a recall. I'll take it off myself at some point.

Until you telling me right now, I didn't know there were dedicated regional threads. I may very well have to stop by. I just got my truck last Tuesday, so I'm pretty new to the Taco game.
