Winch Installation

It is also where I asked us offroad regarding possible group buy for 2012+ tacomas in the near future. Hoping that they still offer one soon.

 

I just read that entire thread I'm more ticked now page one he clearly says I'll offer one if you get a group together. You have a small group and go and ask to start one and he completely goes back on what he said by page three. Damn shady

 

That's twice you've called me 'shady'....so I'll post my previous response here.

First off, saying my decision to have or not to have a group buy is 'shady' means you think my decision is underhanded or corrupt in some way. Do NOT ever call in to question my integrity because I won't offer you a discount. You will not find one instance in our five years in business...not anywhere, of my operating in a 'shady' way and I suggest you retract your statement.

We offer group buys on new products and on the rare occasion when we have overstock. When it was first suggested on Oct 2 we had overstock...barely...at the time, as of Nov 3 when I said no, a month had passed with no action and our inventory was limited with production runs scheduled for late Nov at the earliest.

You can't fulfill group buys with no inventory so for me to offer one then go "looks guys, sorry, no inventory" would be pretty stupid.

Additionally I have been considering some pre Christmas sales that would negate a lengthy GB process for the members here....probably post Thanksgiving.

But feel free to ignore any future sales as I wouldn't want you to do business with someone you consider to be 'shady'....

Well, that escalated quickly. You're mad/upset/etc I get it, I would be too if I had always conducted myself in a professional manner and had built up a reputation for someone to then question it, while I'd like to say Im sorry and take back my feelings, I can't not with the way you reacted to someone pointing out the blatant change in what you wrote. This could have very easily been very easily squashed on your part by saying:

"YES, I said I would do it if you got a group together which you did, but our stock is now depleted and it wouldn't be fair to you to make you all wait for us to make more, etc. Instead I'm going to do a Christmas sale around Thanksgiving for those with the 2012+ bumpers and then you won't have to go thru the hassle that a GB entails".

I would have not only thanked you for doing so, but would have also taken back what I said, AND felt like a jerk for saying it. I would have just deleted the entire post and marked its contents as no longer relevant. However you're very passive aggressive response did not help to cool down the feelings that a customer had towards you and by it's nature US Off Road which I was very much looking forward to doing business with. You have an incredible product there one I was looking forward to owning and proudly using.

 

Bringing up an old thread here. What kind of winch mount did you end up going with?
