Congrats on the new truck and welcome to Tacoma World. Thanks for the order! It's a mod I'm sure you will enjoy. I'll get you up on the list and I expect more mirrors to arrive next week for Canadian orders :canada:

Jaimes, I have installed the kit and I would recommend it to anyone. I have a question about the switch and purchasing them from Toyota. when you purchase the switch did it come with the white wire plug part?

Glad to hear you have everything wrapped up! The switch and the white switch connector get purchased separately through Toyota. When you order a switch the plug does not come with it.

Got the package today. Thanks. Very high quality kit. 100% looks OEM. The guy installing my remote start will be putting this in for me as he has done it in the past for other taco owners.

Well if you want to go with a stock look here is what I have for mine.
    Heated Seats.jpg

Although it was a factory option here in Canada so I didn't need to wire it myself. I imagine wiring them is likely very much like the heated mirrors where there are only two wire leads for each heating pad, one gets grounded and the other is the power in. I'm sure the switches I have likely increase and decrease the voltage going to the heaters which would adjust how warm they get.

Right on! Depending on which command start you go with I know at least a couple members who bought the kit also tied it into an aux ground supply from the command start so that it could also get the mirrors heating up in winter when the truck is auto started.

Installed today and everything went as planned (and only a little blood.) Thanks for making a OEM style kit that installs pretty easily. Thanks again Jaimes!

Perfect hope you enjoy it! Maybe I should have included a couple of band aids with the kit? lol

My only available button sockets are the ones you show populated with heated seats above. I would like to install heated seats one day so I am wondering if you have considered other button options. If nothing else is feasible, then are there other button graphics available for the below AC option? Perhaps something that looks more like a defrosting mirror and less like a windshield wiper?

You can do heated seat switches in the console too like these

Options are the key to indecision. IDEALLY I think I would like to find a round button that would fit above the recirculation button between the temp and direction knobs on the AC panel.

As Oz said there are other places you could put the heated seat switches. Air on Board has a heated mirror option with heated mirror graphics that would fit below the AC but using that switch has a number of complications. If you didn't care if it illuminated with the headlights on or had a status light while the mirrors are heating then it's no problem. Just to get the status light on while heating would involve modifying the inner circuitry of the switch though. This is what the switch looks like.

    image.jpg

Option 2 would be if you have any switches left of steering you don't use then one could be carefully tucked behind the dash making room for the addition of a heated mirror switch.

Option 3 and this is only a maybe.... But if enough people didn't have available blanks then it may be possible to convert a switch like the one below to trigger heated mirrors. It would take some time and cost to develop and is not currently in the works. Basically the mirror fold in button would be what would initiate the heated mirrors.

I've had a Tacoma since 2009 and live where we have winter more than summer, spring or fall. And I finally have heated mirrors!!!!

This kit is unbelievable like people write. You can tell the second you open the box. But even installing you tell how nice this is. His wires sheath slides nice through everything. Top notch Up2noGood. Top notch!!!! This was actually a fun install. Takes some time but if you don't rush and make everything nice and neat it is actually fun...... I loved it and love how they heat up in seconds!!!!! Bring on winter Massachusetts. I'm ready

Thanks OP for doing this kit. It is one of the best mods on this site. Great work

Sounds to me like you are ready for winter! I think out of all the states I've sent the most kits over to Massachusetts... You guys must deal with some good winters over there.

Anyhow glad you like the kit

You got it and thank you for the order! I've just added you up on the list. Right now I am out of mirrors so unable to complete Canadian orders, however I have a shipment of mirrors that should be coming in this week. I'll send you a message once they are in so we can finish off your order.

Installed this kit last night. It's a stellar kit but I have one concern. Is there a reason I received a switch with a Tesla windshield symbol on it and not the one in the first post?Screenshot_2015-11-15-09-14-53.jpg IMG_20151115_053049.jpg

I figured it out. Didn't realize that the timer is actually in the switch as explained on the first page.
