Could one of you Pelfry guys post a pic of the top hoop in relation to the grill/hood from straight on? I can't ever seem to find a pic that shows where the bar sits in relation to the grill. You guys all go for the angled glamor shot.

Exactly. I hadn't made it back to April. So it doesn't go quite to the top of the hood line. I'm planning future purchases.

I'm so close to submitting an order to Pelfreybilt for an aluminum front bumper but stuck on what color powder coat to choose. I like the look of a black bumper but then in my head, I see a visual of your color matched one and all of a sudden want white! Dammit, Rick. Why do you have to have such a sexy truck .

What specific powder coat "color"/texture is your bumper powder coated in?
From the pictures, it looks like a perfect 1:1 match of your Super White. The shop I would have it powder coated at informed me that it is very difficult to color match a white truck.

Sorry for your pain...:D What I did is when I took it to powder coating they had a palette of colors to choose from. They had several shades of white and I took them out to the truck and laid them against the truck. That way you get the closest match. My color was "Zebra" white, but not sure it will be the same there where you're at. They also have a glossifier they add to the PC to give it a shine closer to the paint. That didn't cost extra either. It's in the mixing. You have to take it in and look for yourself to be sure it's close to the truck white. If they can't match it...then paint it OEM. Mine isn't exactly matched when you get up close, but you can hardly tell it doesn't match. You have to do some legwork on your own bro to ensure you get it right!

My PC is smooth in finish...not textured btw...

Powder Coating "WON'T" match it exactly, but can be very damn close. Close enough and half the cost of painting it OEM white... Think about it...:)

Squinto, if you don't mind me asking, how much was the powder coating?

Sorry I'm slightly confused, you paid 350 but what would have been 800$ then lol. Would it be worth letting Satin and them do it for the 200$ since I'm going to go white anyways?

So...I ordered them sent to me Raw and had them done here on Oahu. I didn't want to have them done sight unseen although I'm sure if they were black they would have been ok from Satin. I'm OCD about stuff and like you, I wanted them perfect and to my taste. I wanted to be hands on with whatever I decided to do, that's why I had them done here. I was able to walk into the Powder Coater and see the options and lay them on the truck. Color/texture/gloss...all of it. So...it's up to you if you want them done by Satin sight unseen. You get what you get in that case. Most people just want black...either smooth or textured. If you are building something to your taste...then you have to be hands on...no other way to get it right really. When I had the Powder coater shoot the white I wasn't even sure I would like the match as he mentioned the same thing you said....can't powder coat to match paint exactly. My plan was if it didn't look good in my eyes after it was done...then I would have them painted to be exact. I saved some money by not painting, but that was my call at the time. In the end, I was amazed at how they came out from PC. Not exactly...but damn close. In the end it's always an option to paint them if I wanted to...but I'm good...:)
