7 of the young men out on the town in Paris detonated their homicide vests as the police moved in ...

I bet the reward falls short of the expectation

What has happened in Paris is a terrible, and horrifying tragedy. There is an evil at work in the world the likes of which I cannot comprehend. A large percentage of Syrian refugees are men of fighting age, and they have made their way out of Syria and infiltrated parts of Europe where they will most assuredly carry out future attacks such as this one tonight. I'd like nothing better than to be proven wrong, but I think the best course of action for now is to not let fear take hold. We should not allow our fears to lead us to unsuspectingly relinquish anymore of our freedom. Freedom requires our vigilance, and possibly all the fortitude we can muster to maintain it. My heart is broken, and my prayers are with those unfortunate souls swept up in the tragic events of this evening.

"The latest information out of Paris is that at least 120 people are believed to be dead following attacks at 6 locations. 200 people are reported injured, 80 seriously. 8 attackers have also been killed, 7 of which died by explosive suicide belts. Officials have said all attackers are believed to be dead. The Guardian is reporting that although French President François Hollande said earlier that France would be closing its borders, travel in and out of the country appears unimpeded - though security checks have been increased. Airports remain open and flights into and out of French airports continue. Rail travel, including Eurostar between the UK and France, remains in operation. City officials say all city amenities, including schools, libraries, markets, and museums, will be closed Saturday."

Get ready for tons of lip service and little to no action from inept and cowardly leadership.

I disagree. We will drop more bombs which don't work because you can't kill ideas unless you kill everyone who carries the idea in their head. And the other thing that is certain to happen is they will chip away at even more of our freedoms. It won't be any more effective than bombs but the pants wettingly fearful among us will all but demand it. And the politicians and career bureaucrats will happily comply.

France should just go nuclear in the middle east. It'd take a whole ten minutes to wipe the whole mess off the face of the earth. It'd save a ton of money on their high end nuclear simulation programs with some real world testing. A couple of problems solved, at least for a few months.

BTW, there is sarcasm in there before someone shits them self.

Why we have ISIS...estimates of up to one million Iraqis were killed during the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Isis was formed out of the ashes of this invasion.

"March 2003, on the eve of war in Iraq, Pope John Paul II dispatched Cardinal Pio Laghi, a senior Vatican diplomat, to Washington to make a final plea to Bush not to invade. Laghi, chosen for his close ties to the Bush family, outlined “clearly and forcefully” the Vatican’s fears of what would follow an invasion: protracted war, significant casualties, violence between ethnic and religious groups, regional destabilization, “and a new gulf between Christianity and Islam.” The warning was not heeded.

Terrorism will happen in gun rich environments , that is my point , which is supported by the figures in the link I provided . Post as many stories as you want about somebody stopping a crime because they were armed , it doesn't refute my point

PARIS (AP) — France launched “massive” air strikes on the Islamic State group’s de-facto capital in Syria Sunday night, destroying a jihadi training camp and a munitions dump in the city of Raqqa, where Iraqi intelligence officials say the attacks on Paris were planned.

Twelve aircraft including 10 fighter jets dropped a total of 20 bombs in the biggest air strikes since France extended its bombing campaign against the extremist group to Syria in September, a Defense Ministry statement said. The jets launched from sites in Jordan and the Persian Gulf, in coordination with U.S. forces.

Meanwhile, as police announced seven arrests and hunted for more members of the sleeper cell that carried out the Paris attacks, French officials revealed to The Associated Press that several key suspects had been stopped and released by police after the attack.

The arrest warrant for Salah Abdeslam, a 26-year-old born in Brussels, calls him very dangerous and warns people not to intervene if they see him.
