Just an FYI to whoever got me and is probably now stalking my posts I will not be home until the 17th of December to open my gift. It'll get delivered and brought inside by my brother so don't worry about it getting stolen but I won't be able to open it until I get home.

Alternatively, if you're super anxious to send a gift and have me open it, PM one of the organizers and they can get my school address which is where I will be until the 11th of December.

think I'll wait until after my work trip to send mine out. or maybe send it out while I'm on that trip, would save quite a bit on shipping lol

Same, almost. I have a few items in a wish list I set up just for them. Going to take another day or two to decide if I want to ship them here and add a local flair or just have Amazon do it. Mine is going to the Great White North, so I may leave it up to Bob and Doug McKenzie at Amazon to deal with shipping.

To make things easier this is what I have done in the past and what I did to already have an idea of what to get my giftee.

    • Ignore individual posts right away and look at the threads they are posting in.
    • When looking at threads, ignore the "BS" threads and focus on threads about specific topics. If they have a build, use it to determine hobbies. (Take me for example, you would find I love my dog, fly fishing, ice fishing, camping and photography)
    • This is a truck site but that doesn't mean your gift has to reflect that. Last year my giftee was into fly fishing so I got him a local fly fishing shirt and a bottle of alcohol that is made here in Wyoming.
    • Lastly, use the name given and the location to find them on Facebook. Look at where they take their pictures, what they post on timelines, etc.
If those tips still don't help, go to cabelas on black friday and purchase something on sale that you think you would like but would never actually purchase yourself. Regardless of the gift, it's always fun to open something.
