    Hi,

I am new to the site and have to say it looks fantastic. I look forward to gaining information from fellow members relating to my Toyota.

I am from Canada and recently traded my 2000 Tacoma Access Cab TRD for a new 2006 Tacoma Double Cab SR5. We have a child on the way so a larger truck was in order. I have to admit though, I miss the older style truck already. Not to take anything away from the new Generation Tacoma, as it is a great truck so far!:D I guess most of us have a tough time saying goodbye to our Toyotas at some time or another. :(

I have big plans for the new truck in the future and look forward to picking your brains for advice and insight.

    Sean

I already have a wishlist put together but will have to discuss my choices with fellow members. I am pretty green when it comes to Mods so any help and suggestions will be very welcomed. Here is what I have planned so far (one thing at a time of course!):

    1. ARB Bull Bar with Warn winch
    2. OME suspension lift
    3. ARB air lockers for front and rear
    4. Custom tires and wheels (not sure on my selections for this route yet).

Again, nothing planned until next summer at the earliest! I also, hope that you guys can give some opinions on the above products!

    Cheers,

    SAM

Welcome to TW Sean. Hope you enjoy the new Truck. You can’t put a winch on a Bull Bar. I guess you can but it’ll be ripped apart the first time you try to winch. You need a winch mount. But then, I’m no expert. I will be buying a Milemarker HI12000 myself. Let‘s chat later and share some information. Try www.warn.com or www.milemarker.com for some info. Hopefully we can meet in Minden sometime. Cheers.:)

The winch mount part # for your truck is 50-50197 - Extreme Mount.
    Winch adapter kit part # - 35-5020-41
    Both available from Milemarker.

I was under the impression that the ARB Bull Bar had a winch mount option.

Does anyone have any pics of a 2005 + taco with the ARB? Want to show it to my wife so I can convice her how much we need it.;)

Thank you guys for the warm welcome. Here is a picture of the ARB Bull Bar/Bumber with winch option that I am gunning for:

    http://www.arbusa.com/toyota.php?num=10#image.

This will likly be my first purchase next spring then I hope to install the OME suspension lift to accomodate the extra weight on the front end from the new the bumber and winch (at least that is what I plan on telling the wife!)!

Thanks Themaster for the Warn links, and yes, we will definately have to talk more later. Minden is one of my favorite ice fishing spots from the college days!

You and SAM are correct. The ARB Bull Bar is very similar to a winch mount unlike typical bull bars like what Jesse has on his truck (The one on TW banner) Now that I've seen it, I really like the ARB one better. ;)
