The 10mm bolt that connects the tailgate handle to my tailgate is stripped.... I cant install my power pop in lock just yet.. Gotta figure this out first..

 

That's at least a fairly easy one to get un-stuck haha

 

Yeah i just hate buying moar tools(one that i'll need in the future no doubt anyway).. When i wanna get a mod done like right now lol

 

Hey, better to be able to do it yourself. I had to take one of my spindles to the local dealership to have them re-tap a caliper bolt hole

2.How much did that run you?

 

I swear shit just keeps poppin up left and right mang

 

The bolt was apparently "welded" in place with dirt, and $120

 

I recommend getting this as well for your pop lock

Is the head stripped or the hole?

 

Im thinking the hole.. I can rotate the bolt left or right and it doesnt move at all

 

Pics, maybe that the nut welded on the backside came unwelded? vice grips, or cut the bolt. Get a new nut and bolt/

It looks like this.
The bolt to the left of the red clip is the one that is stripped and i need that one loose so i can install my lock

Nope. I can take the other bolt out but if i do so the other bolt is still holding that part of the handle in so i cant rotate it much or else i risk breaking something

 

You can kinda see what's behind. It's like a threaded slot for the bolt. The passenger side came out no problem but the drivers... No Bueno

 

Try to use a flat screwdriver and put some pressure on the bolt as you turn it. Between the metal and the "nut"
