Bro...early bird deal is only $161 U.S. dollars shipped. Comes with a mounting bracket as well. MAXTRAX are around $300 and the plastic studs wear down from tire spin. Just wanted to get the word out there for the guys who may or maynot have seen them while the offer lasts. Kickstarter ends 10 Dec....:) The video is worth watching...

Ok, opinions here ( o god here we go)
Bought some wheels I really like, test fitted them today and they have too much back space for the tires I want to put on. I daily drive my truck, and off road on the weekends. Like medium serious off road. Not rock crawl, but I hit my sliders all the time, and bent my IFS skid (1/4" steel)

So, question is.. Do I use spacers? Will I break them? Or do I just sell the wheels and go another route.

The wheel is marketed for the FJ120 (4Runner/Prado/GX470) in Japan. You can find them through various eBay listings such as http://www.ebay.com/itm/231745774104

Installation is not plug-and-play, however, as the tongue-and-groove engagement features between the steering wheel hub and spiral cable are different between the Japanese-built and US-built vehicles. I had to sand away those engagement features on both the new wheel and the Taco's spiral cable to get them to fit. I will monitor for air bag or VSC lights for a week. If no issues, I will post a how-to thread.

What's the reason for doing this? Do you want a different MC piston dia.? Rear disc conversion?

Hey awesome, thanks. Are they specific to the Tacoma for mounts? Wanna put a single bar on the forward part of my access cab. I have the mounts on my topper already.

Rear disc conversion left me unhappy with the brakes, as I expected from what others had said about it, but I couldn't resist.

Not really...felt better to me, but I had just rebuilt the engine after several months of downtime.
