    Not a big deal. I'm probably gonna wait til after Christmas and get one. I'm looking for a front axle out of a 79-85 also. Any info on one of those in PA or close would be greatly appreciated

    Check out car-part. There's an complete axle off an 84 with 4.10s, 128k miles for $400. It's at ARichners in Milesburg which is just north of Bellefonte.

    Yeah that's like 15 minutes from me. They have 4 axles there. I don't know if I wanna spend that much on an axle though

    If it's in good shape I'd say it's worth it.

    The rear of mine rusted out and it was either get an entire housing and swap everything or just buy a whole new axle and sell the rusted one for parts. I chose the latter.

    Yeah they're tough to come by. I may have to bite the bullet and buy one of those. Til I drive somewhere and buy one I'll probably have that much spent anyway
