I was under the impression police cruisers still come with 5-mph bumpers and nerf bars just for situations like this. Tearing off the bumper on the civilian car, through, was rather unfortunate.

 

Yeah. Kind of an unfortunate casualty there. But that fire was going good. With a fire like that, alot more damage is at stake then a ripped off bumper.

 

Yep, things that insurance can't easily fix.

So no surprise here.

I live in south Austin, and with the weather we've been having they are everywhere. My pest control guy has had to step it up two notches. Usually they die crossing the threshold - this one happened to come in three days before our quarterly re-spraying. Phillip is putting down extra tomorrow.

They expect this to be a bad year for bark scorpions.

And then there's my dog, who just gobbles them up like kibble. Crazy mutt.

Can you get a ticket for backing up traffic going the speed limit if everyone else is flying down the highway?

Let us say it is 2 lanes each direction w/a 65 limit and you pass a line of semis going 55 and traffic is now backed up behind you b/c you passed them at 65.
