The weather here is pretty bad right now, my unit had us go to minimal manning yesterday due to flooding everywhere. Well today my power went out and I decided I would need to grab extra batteries and maybe some extra lighting. My car sits pretty low and the power is a bit much for this weather on performance tires. So I jumped in the truck and noticed a nice lake in front of my complex on the road leading back to it. The road was closed off with signs and cones but I moved em to get home. Snapped these photos on the return journey which took me through some of it.

Yeah, it's pretty bad around here... We are on very high ground where I am (driveway is at a 45 slant), so it hasn't gotten near the vehicles or the house... Stay safe man!

It's worse where those cars are, the part I was in was safe for PreRunners and 4x4s, the lower sitting 2.7L tacos probably could have gone to where I was if they were very careful, but I wouldn't have risked it with one. I saw lots of areas around my complex under water, this storm just doesn't wanna go quietly. They day I decide a snorkel is needed, is the day I trade in for a 4x4 to put it on. I haven't taken the truck off roading yet or sought out places my car can't go, but this is the second time since I got here that only my truck could have got me through somewhere.

Edit: I'll have to look into what the rear diff breather mod is, I've only used the locker once since I bought it.

Reminds me of GA back in sept when we got about 12 inches of rain in a 24-48 hour period.

That same storm run through here (GA) earlier this week and dumped 4 inches of rain on us on tuesday.

What's up with the dry lanes on the left? I know, I know...but nobody's coming. Yes, Taco is foul weather king. Lowered sport wagon is not. Glad to be Taco'd up for times such as that.

BTW, rr diff breather mod extends the breather up to gas door area to keep water out of the rr axle.

That looks a lot like what it does around school here. At Southern Miss they decided that ALL of the parking lots needed to hold at least 2 feet of water. Those are some awesome pictures though.

I was using my Cannon Rebel which doesn't have video, I wish I could have recorded it yesterday.

Armistead, that intersection is the only way in or out of my place.

The dry lanes sit a bit higher up but the road dips down in that direction on both sides. I tried to come from that direction before going the way I came, it was closed down.

Well I need food and I'll go see if the carnage is still out there. The rain stopped but it's still windy.
