Looks like you beat me to it. Yes there are actually 4 different switch combos at play and will vary based on what option you order. The top picture is a 5 min switch and the bottom is a 15 minute switch. It is possible to get a 15 minute switch with the same graphics as a 5 minute switch but it costs about $20 more... No idea why as the operation is otherwise identical.

Absolutely, thanks for the order. I'll send you a message once I have more mirrors arrive which should be later this week.

Sounds good just let me know. I've been a bit surprised by where some of these kits have gone. Texas, California, Arizona, Florida... None to Hawaii yet though lol. Surprisingly only two to Alaska so far.

I usually don't quote myself but I did go ahead and do a little research on this today and ordered what I believe will be the correct switch (plug and play fit and electrical hookup for the 2nd gen) for the mirror adjust switch with fold in option.

Might take a while to source the correct terminals for the back of the switch and see if the mirror flip button can be converted to a momentary style but I'll chip away at it. It could be a good clean option for those without any switch blanks left.

Who cares if its momentary? You wouldn't want it anyway because you would need to install a timing relay anyway. If its a latching type switch then just use that. My old car had its heated mirrors with that setup and it worked just fine. They just stay on as long as you leave the switch latched. It's not a bad setup.

Well you bring up an interesting point and you are correct. With a latching button which it appears to be there is no need for a timing relay and it will be as simple as when the button is in, the mirrors are heating. The pros to that is it is simpler to wire up. Cons is if you forget the button in you will be full time heating whenever the truck is running.

Going with a momentary will take away that risk but would require a timer relay.

That being said it would be easy enough to do either way, I guess just user preference.

Installed my kit today. While I had the door panels off, I also installed some LED lights in the door pockets. It took me around 5 hours total. Top notch product and top notch service. Thanks Jaimes.

You got it! Thanks for the order, I'll get you up on the list and send you a PM shortly.

Perfect glad you like it! Yeah your taco friends will probably be impressed. The response I get in person when I show mine is usually along the lines of...
    image.jpg

Well I'm just starting to compile a parts list, figuring out what connectors are needed... Basically the initial research stage. When I've got something rock solid I'll be looking for a tester at a heavy discount, even better if they already have an existing kit that the new option could be retrofit into. Just sayin...

Also may have found a way to integrate a status light into it so it is known when the mirrors are heating, that or one more thing that lights up with the headlights are on. I'm sure I can wire it either way. Won't know until everything is here and I can start testing.

    image.jpg

Nice! I'm sure that's going to be coming in handy. Like the lights too!

Looks like docloco threw his hand up first. If that doesn't pan out or I need a second person to test then I'll message you. It is going to take some time though before something is ready.

Right here, just need to let me know what you are after and we can take it from there. I just ran out of 15 minute switches for left of steering and also the green under the AC switches. I know I'll have more of the Under the AC switches later this week but still waiting to hear from Toyota on when they will have the 15 minute switches delivered.

So in stock for immediate delivery is 5 minute left of steering and amber Under the AC.

Add me to the list of people interested in swapping out my current switch for one of these. This will allow me to put both locker switches in the dash if I go that route.

First day needing these this morning. Came out to a total frosted truck here in MA this morning. Hit the button and my side view mirrors were clear in minuets. Way before the windshield and door windows. I had the car warming up for a good 5 minuets before getting in and hitting the button. They still beat a semi-warmed up truck.

This mod is awesome (for anyone on the fence). Best money I have spent on the truck yet. Still don't know why these aren't standard equipment but that's another story.
