This is the 1st time I hear about APA and would like to know more. I just moved back to Canada (Ottawa) from Europe and need to buy 2 vehicles (one of them being a Tacoma). What is APA and can anyone join/benefit? Thanks

Spend $42K on a TRD Sport ...you will feel $5,500 better or worse depending on your point of view. Not sure I understand your question. I think it need a a subject.

Yeah id suggest going into the city and heading to a place like Henninger. A bunch of my coworkers, friends, and myself included bought our vehs from there. Very upfront and helpful

I got $700 off. Someone else said they got $1000 off.

It's going to depend on the dealer, they may throw in extras for you as well. Bed mat, fridge magnet, etc. :D

I got 1800. 1400.00 was the easy part the other 400 was tricky. However I had an awesome sales person. Very easy to work with. I bought a few extra's as well which got discounted but overall cost more. So she did good and I did good in the end.

I am baked from research and can't find it...trying to decide between getting a 2016 aceess cab TRD trail package or a 2016 TRD OR...drove both and like the 2016 a bit better...just don't want to get hosed on the price...

If you can swing it, do the 16 all day long. Look at it this way, buy a new "non-current" 10 year old design "ish" or a new redesigned model. Simply put, resale will still be higher down the road on a 16 vs a new 15 purely because of the changes to a 16.

I saw 2k off for a cash price for a 15 vs a 16. That was all, which is nothing when you can negotiate at min 1000 k of a new 16 model easily. Sure the MSRP is higher, hence why I said If you can swing it. You won't go wrong if you like the 16 enough to consider it.

This is my perspective. If you negotiate x number of dollars off a new vehicle and you are happy, then you got a good deal, not hosed. If you walked in and paid MSRP you still didn't get hosed (technically)because it's like buying something at a store which we are so used to paying what the sticker says.. If you pay OVER MSRP then you got hosed.

Pick the truck you want because life is short. Be happy with your purchase, not with the fact you could have saved a few hundred dollars more. If you buy the other one purely because it's a money reason and aren't 100 percent happy then as time goes along you will see that 16 that got away driving around. You will find yourself quickly loosing interest with what you have and back at the dealership spending more on the one you should have got.

I have yet to see anyone post they got more then 2k off so if you get anything between 1k - 2k off you got a good deal. There are lots in the US paying MSRP and some dealers asking for more then that. So far in Ontario we look to have it good by other comparisons.

    thanks Wraith...
one more q...does the dealer cost (approx 36k) include freight and pdi?
if the msrp for the truck is 37900 and I want to negotiate 1000 off that, will they then add the friggin freight and pdi at the end?
