What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Dooh!!!!!! Fortunately a quick fix. Nothing was mounted permanent yet. Measure over a bit and drilled a new hole.

Fabbed up my shackle flip kit today. Need to shift it over about an inch though, my shackle angle is steep.

 

Washed and waxed truck today. Also put on my 1" Bora wheel spacers up front so my 35's would stop rubbing the UCA's at full lock

 

Maybe I missed it, but where did you get the Toyota letters? That's going to turn out awesome!

 

Black topper looks great with the pyrite! I like the two-tone appearance with toppers.

 

PDR can get that out, I bet.

 

What's all necessary to do this?

 

Built a couple bed rail holders with quick fists to hold my shovel in the bed.

Painted my shifter knob to get rid of the last of the interior chrome.

This is the grill emblem in the packaging with the part number from the dealership. I was there getting a new key and fob and ordered the letters. They are for the 1984-1990 Land Cruiser. You can find them elsewhere for cheaper but I was at the dealership and went ahead and ordered it. They have different sizes for different years but after doing some reading on TW the general consensus is for a 2012 Taco this size looks best. I trimmed off the two plastic snap in posts on either end and trimmed part of the middle post so it was just a cylinder with nothing else sticking out so it would fit in the round hole.

Thanks to looking at squint0241 pics, it served as the determining factor in which grill I was going to go with.

Your emblem is on upside down. Also, I just ground the mounting tabs off my Toyota emblem and used 3M trim adhesive to hold it to the mesh. It's held of great to pressure washing and such.
