Cvj will only rebuild oem which are of better quality. Napa are great spares to carry but if you can afford cvj they are best

Dylan and I also talked about RCV and he said they are not worth the $$$$. That's when he mentioned CVJ.

What's CVJ so I know for the future? How do they differ? I picked up the napas because I thought for over another 1k for forged axles was ridiculous. I'm sure the napas work fine as a bunch of other guys run em with no issues.

I'm pretty sure you should be fine. Worse case scenario, they break and you get new ones. Not a big deal. Things break. :D

I would of gone with 4.88 but I didn't have the funds to regear the rear diff. I should be good with 4.56 running 33".

I settled for 4.88. Had to do it. Only problem is I'll have to get the clamshell done too. Have to drop more hundos. Got arb in the rear and a h.o. compressor for the aT100 axle. Doing same in front. Me and you are going to be beast mode in CO.

It would be fun to park our trucks together but I'll keep my hood closed. :D I don't have a 300+ hp motor like you.

My wife just sent me a pic of the new CV's. They are sexy! The ones I took in look like shit and had me worried.

@BDN How hard would it be to install a starter after the motor is installed? Im considering throwing the motor in this weekend since I have it off. Then install the starter later.

It's not bad. It's a test of patience to figure out just the right way to maneuver it in. But they get changed all the time with the motor in place. I've changed mine twice so far.
    Throw that motor in.

Ok I will. Tomorrow I'm putting on the steering rack back on and putting the transmission on the engine. My spacers for the flywheel and hardware came in today. Then sunday Tim (with the clean white 1st gen DC) is going to come over and where going to double check wiring and make a list of things I still need. Hopefully the motor will be in by the end of the day sunday.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
I remember when we pulled young brett's transmission, we pulled the started and it was pretty easy.

I got a few things done today.

    IMG_2647.jpg
I got lucky. The transfer case came with a boot for the shifter. So I removed the one i cut and installed the right one.

    IMG_2652.jpg
I replaced the steering rack bushings that I got from wheelers off road. Thanks @BDN I used a bolt and washers to press the sleeves in.

    IMG_2655.jpg
I replaced the old outer tie rods with new OEM ones. I Had to put the Tie rods on left on the right and right on the left because of the curve in the tie rod to be facing away from the secondary shock mounts on the LCA. I also added the TC extensions for the tie rod. I added the steel brake lines.

    IMG_2656.jpg

The right spacers came in for the drive plate. There are two of them one between the plate and block and the other on back. I used red lock tight and torqued them down to 61 lb ft is a star pattern.
