Hey, guys. I'm from VA, but I do a lot of fishing in Southern Maryland - Solomon's Island, precisely. I just want to say during my 1.5 hour drive to my fishing spot from Virginia, I always see nice Tacomas! Just this weekend, I saw a blue 2016 TRD OR and another blue Tacoma, but a second gen, with the fender flares off, armor, and possibly those tent things on the bed. Looked awesome. I also pass by a Toyota dealership off route 4 in St Mary's County and always see a white Tacoma with armor, big lift, and big tires on display right up front.

I think I saw that blue 2016 the other day on Rt.235. First time I have seen one in the wild (not on a dealers lot) around here. Hope the fishing was good this weekend, do you fish from the shore or a boat? I was at Pax RIver today, there were a couple of people fishing from the shore but I didn't see much getting caught.

I do a little bit of both, but primarily on the shore. I fish at the Patuxent Naval Air Station because there are many different secluded spots to fish at. And thanks! Caught a handful of rockfish, but none of them were keepers :(

    Where do you fish?

I don't fish too much anymore. Once in awhile Ill do a little fishing at Pax., either at Fishing Point or on the other side of the base near the pier. Not much of a fisherman though, did a lot of it when my kids were kids cause they liked it.

making slow progress on the Fiero. finally got her off the ground. engine/tranny/diff/etc sits in a tube frame "cradle" that can be un-bolted and dropped out of the bottom of the car, so I needed to get the car as high off the ground as possible. added a couple of picking points under the hood and hoisted away.

@Mobtown Offroad is your garage heated? Santa might bring me 4.56s for Christmas this year and I'll need a place to install them... Santa will bring you beer, wine, and shine if you can help.

Awesome. Are you getting the whole 3rd member from ECGS or just the ring gear? I've never installed a rear gear, but I'd like to come over and lend a hand just to get the experience. I'd like to do this to my truck eventually, so messing up on someone else's truck is the best way to learn :D

That should certainly make the job much easier. Are you adding lockers at the same time as well?

I'm not sure, the e-locker and atrac have never let me down, so I don't see a need to upgrade to air lockers... people say the electronic stuff can fail, but I've never seen it happen and I've waterproofed the hell out of all the electrical connections.

Thanks! shoot me a message when you come back down. I'm more of a watersports and sailor when it comes to boats, but I enjoy some good kayak fishing and paddle boarding.

yeah buddy! hit me up when you get here. Hoping to have the Fiero all fixed up by February, which means the truck is going to be taking its turn on jack stands, getting the entire bed torn off, and maybe the front end too, depending on how hard the rear hits my wallet.

pre-assembled thirds are cake. 100% helps to have an extra person or two. if you had 3-4 people who know their way around a wrench/Tacoma, there's no reason you can't get both knocked out in a day with some drinking time left to spare.

you'll blow up the ring gear before your e-locking mechanism fails.
