Minor. Roll the windows down and you can't hear the radio anyway.
    Are they studded?

Nope just regular winter tires I was using for rallycross. And that's true, it's Damn loud to begin with from no sound deadening and the exhuast dumped right after the cab with a crappy muffler.

Do what I did, $800 dual sport bike, runs like a champ, easy to repair, parts are cheap and, if you happen to drop it, no big deal. Not the fastest in the world, but I did have mine topped out at 75 last weekend :D

That sounds like a great bike to commute from MA to ME on the highway with, Seth! Get one of those!

Haha, not the way it's currently geared, and the DOT knobbies keep it entertaining. Mine is geared lower from stock, in stock form my bike will supposedly do damn near 100 MPH.

If it's anything like other DS bikes I've ridden that would be terrifying.
My 250 will do 110 (from experience) and it was pretty stable, but it's got nothing on a true sportbike in terms of being rideable at speeds north of 80. It runs out of oomph pretty fast once you hit 85

I hated a sustained speed of 80+ mph on the DR650! Took it on 495 for a few exits and tried to stay with traffic; the semis would blow me all over the road.

A 350 would be even worse I imagine lol. Again, it was fun, but I couldn't shit for a week straight after how tight I puckered a few times. The SV650 holds its own great, even for a naked bike.

    Not a terrible idea...
Probably use it to commute back and forth to our office down by RI that I usually work out of when gone if I did get one. In all reality I may just use the 92 for commuter purposes next summer. Need to fix the windshield sprayer though. I put almost 21000 miles on my FJ since getting it at the beginning of the summer. It's now got more miles on it than the 92 does

It's definitely a white knuckled ride at 75, 100 would be pretty butt puckering. Supposedly, changing out the front fender helps tremendously so it's not catching as much wind and trying to push the front end around. Right now, I have the OEM big 'ole fender, I want to swap it for more of a supermoto or more aerodynamic one like is on the new bikes. The knobbies don't do anything to inspire confidence either, there's so little rubber touching the road it's hard to keep it stable.

My M50 Suzuki sucked at highway speeds unless I bolted the windshield on. Your riding postion basically turned you into a parachute, so once you hit 70 you were hanging on for dear life.

Anyone good with the URD 7th injector kit for the 3.4 supercharger kit and have experience tuning it? I bought a used kit, but have never ventured into messing with tuning or wiring to this level. Located in the Hartford, CT area...PM me if you can help out, I would even be open to paying to get this done correctly. It's for a 99 4runner

Commuting on a bike in MA absolutely sucks. I used to take my SV1000S in once or twice a summer just to remind myself how awful it was.

After clutch waking the bike from Hopkinton to route 9 on 495 on a hot day I was like "never again"

Worst I ever got was stuck in traffic for an hour coming back from the fireworks one 4th of July. Covered about 4 miles clutch-walking, but fortunately about half of it was downhill so I just shut the bike off and let it coast.

Exactly. My commute is 495 from 95 to Route 9, the down Route 9 to the Pike. That bike hated going slow. Didnt help that it had akro exhaust, PC3, pipercross airbox, and gilles rear sets. God I was young and stupid back then.

Takes the joy out of riding. One of the reasons I went from an rc8 to a cbr1000 to a gsxr600

I've never seen the need for the hyperbikes or the literbikes, honestly. I could get into plenty of trouble with just the first 3 gears on my 600 when I had it. Part of why I switched to a cruiser for a while; I knew I'd be a lot less likely to get a speeding ticket that way.
