Clock Issue

I'm really digging my '16. All around, I'm satisfied. This is my fourth Tacoma since '04. I've become quite familiar with these trucks. I traded up from a '13, and something is terribly wrong my my '16. It's missing the signature digital clock. Bring back the clock Toyota!

 

I have a digital clock on my infotainment screen. Top of the screen. Still in the truck, just a bit more integrated now.

 

Correct. But there was just something about that stand alone clock. Maybe I'll cruise the junkyards and pull one out of a '93 Tercel for a project over the holiday. Could make for an excellent mod thread.

 

I would like to see someone do this. I love the old Toyota orange digital clock...

That's never been a problem for me. I can see why you wouldn't miss it if it was!

 

Griping over a clock

 

I just set the clock into one of the content squares in the home screen.

 

Home Screen .. left side is radio and clock, right side is nav.

 

the old clock and mud flaps on a 4wd is like a trademark on there trucks

 

Maybe Toyota should offer a windup wrist watch with each truck they sell. Throw in a macho picture of Rock Hudson driving a Tacoma up to the Guns of Naveron......well it could happen with a little poetic license.

 

Self winding would be more in order for the rolling sofa crowd.

Grab a cassette player from the same 93 Tercel to install next to the orange clock

 

That 4 does look strange, it would be hilarious to bring it in to the dealer and complain though. You should do it anyways. Maybe they'll issue a recall!

 

Even if you could, that wouldn't get you anywhere. You (and thousands and thousands of other owners) would have to either bring it into a dealership and make a formal documented complaint, or contact the Toyota experience center http://www.toyota.com/support/contact-us directly.

 

15's didn't have them either, they replaced it with the word Tacoma lol.
