I am shopping for a 2016 TRD Sport 4x4 double cab short box manual with the upgrade package. MSRP is $37,955 plus $1862 in freight, A/C tax, tire tax, etc... Unhaggle gave me a Canadian dealer cost of $34,233. I was subsequently contacted by the internet sales guy at a local dealer and he suggested by email that I could get the truck for $35,995 plus the $1862 (plus HST, obviously). Has anyone else used Unhaggle to find Canadian dealer cost? We should start a chart with all the model variations to compare MSRP vs. Dealer Cost.

Awesome! Thanks for the endorsement. Should be getting it done in the next couple days. Took a little longer than normal for shipping, they ship to a box in Blaine to save on shipping and duty so I told him to wait for a couple orders to pick everything up. I'm not in a hurry, I have my truck.

I'll definitely post a few pics when it's all done!

    Well...I pulled the trigger!
I managed 1210.00 off the msrp...not great...but not bad either...The trucks sell out fast.
I wanted to add my trade in into the deal but their offer was terrible, so I will have to sell my 2005 privately...
I am now the proud owner of a 2016 TRD OR access cab in Alpine white!
Having it delivered to my house Monday.
    :)

Hit up Toyota.ca, it will show a button in the top right that displays the price with pdi and freight.

Chances are the the 37900 price does not include pdi/freight

Yea! Huzzah! Got a call from the guys at Lethbridge Toyota today and my 2016 TRD Sport SBDC Manual in Inferno is leaving Calgary! I pick it up Saturday morning. They have been great, BTW. Can't wait.

Well the all those other charges are pretty much set minus the PDI / dealer fees. Anyone can technically negotiate that but behind the scenes it never changes and is set what they are. It just depends on how the offer is presented back to you. I always go at this with the "what's the out to door price" minus taxes. Since I'm the end that's all that matters.

Well I bit the bullet and decided to accept Tacoma into my life as my lord and savior hah. AC TRDOR MT inferno, pics inbound soon. The list of mods to do keep adding up, should really stay away from the "what have you done to your Tacoma" thread. I'm gonna to debadge, plastidip the grill and wheels, add dashcam and cover (once the retractable ones come out), and now wanna roll out some dynamat.

Funny cause I've been getting comments on the fact that it's AC (no backseat space), and bright orange. Like buddy, those are the reasons I wanted it!

Anyone know how to turn off that "be careful of your surroundings, drive safely" crap that pops up every time I start my truck?

    Yeah...I'm happy.
Strange that I got a sick to my stomach feeling after signing though...lol...Me and my money don't like to part ways it seems.
That being said, I thought alot about this and was going to buy used, then I thought f%@k it, I'm turning 50 soon, and for once in my life I want a NEW truck!
I test drove a 2015 TRD trail edition, but once I got in the 2016 with heated seats and nav and push button and dual zone etcetc I was draining the ol' savings account. $igh.
will be posting pics and starting mods soon I guess...first up: Krown treatment when I get a day off...

There are so many warning all over every vehicle these days. I don't even notice it anymore in mine. I am more about listening to make sure nothing sounds off at startup on my vehicles then what a screen prompt says.

I agree it would nice to have a box that allows me to never see it again but not a big deal.

I've got a suggestion for you guys.... You can put 3 mpeg pics in there as your "start-up" screen... this screen shows only for about 2 seconds after the first Toyota one.... Put a nice pic in there...

I've a pair of 38D's that show up every time I start my truck and I look forward to it... hehehe

(You could put up kids and dogs, etc, but that's not MY thing)...

So sorry to get back on topic but...
Thank you GGB for the dealer invoice data you posted. I reached out to almost every Toyota Dealer within 100 KM for a price quote and a few of them have stated that the number you listed was the dealer invoice amount. I strongly suspect that the "Dealer Cost" on Unhaggle is just that, a dealer cost and not the dealer invoice. In other words, the dealer invoice posted by GGB is what the dealer initially pays for the truck, the dealer cost takes into account the additional reimbursement to dealer from the manufacturer when they sell the truck (AKA holdback). This corresponds with the accepted idea that a Dealer could sell every single vehicle at "dealer invoice" and still return a solid profit.

Got some aftermarket leather installed yesterday, looks amazing. if you're in the Lower Mainland area (especially the Fraser Valley) I definitely recommend United Automotive Interiors, they're in the Langley/Cloverdale area and did an awesome job. For $1500 I couldn't be happier. It's a graphite leather with white accent stitching, matches really well with the interior.

Glad to hear it. I find their management staff and finance staff to be excellent. A few of there sales people though... ugh.

Inspect your truck after oil changes. I've found empty bottles and loose tools under the hood a few times using their quick lube bay for the free oil changes. That's why I change my own oil now.
