What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Smoked out my tail lights and used some back to black on fenders. I think I am going to remove and repaint fenders.

 

Why'd you do that? Is it so that some old fart can rearend you because he can't see your brake lights?

 

I agree. I don't understand why reducing your visibility to others is a good idea. However, it's better than the clueless drivers who drive around at night without turning their lights on (because their dash lights are on, thus everybody must be able to see them). Those drivers are really hard to see without their tail lights on at night!

Plasti dipped my grille, emblem and headlight trim/replaced old bulbs with new ones. Happy with how it came out.

Lol...I showed my 80 something year old neighbor who drives a Tacoma. He said "well, whatever you like I guess." ahaha. lights are still plenty bright.

 

I could probably put leds in the back, then there wohld be no missing me.

 

We need to do something about that, I say driving test every year for those above 50.

 

I been chasing folks off the sidewalk since I was 14.
I know more about driving than the idiots giving the test, I can guarantee that.

 

Damn right, drive just fast enough they can't pass, just slow enough to drive 'em crazy.

 

I black out my flashlights, TV, cell phone screen, anything with light

 

Looks great you can always color match the grille once the plastidip peels off

 

Went to my local audio shop. Told them the radio would work but I couldn't hear any sound. After a while they told me my old radio was quitting on me and they fixed it for now.

 

Added more horsepower (please don't remind me that it is crooked)

 

CEL came on yesterday. I checked it and it's a P0442. Gas cap looks good, but I did notice that the top of the gas tank a noticeable amount of wetness. I'm thinking that's probably the cause, or part of it. When I have daylight, I'll check a few other parts first, but assuming I have to check it out, would it be easier to drop the tank or take the bed off?

 

It is easier to pull the bed, because then you don't have to risk breaking a fuel line you can't hardly see trying to unhook it.
