That's what I figured. And to verify, I need to remove the bolts that hold the bed, disconnect the tail lights and take out the fill neck, right?

 

You got it, technically you could just prop the bed up with some wood if you don't have another person to help lift it completely off.

 

I may or may be able to get someone else to help me. If not, that sounds like a good idea.
I'm hoping I can get someone to help because I'm also thinking about doing some frame maintenance. The PO did a pretty good job of keeping rust off, but there are a few spots he seemed to miss that I don't want to start perforating. Won't be long before it's too cold to tackle this stuff.

I went to Big O Tires this weekend. Toyota had said that they could not align my rig a few weeks back. I bought all the parts needed to fix( LCA's, LBJ's, OTR, new caster bolts) and was getting ready to replace everything when I got a free alignment coupon from Big O Tires. Well, they said everything is fine and it is aligned.

Here are my alignment sheets. First one (in color) is from Toyota. @jberry813, Jason mentioned in another thread that these numbers are horrible. Well here is the new one from Big O Tires. What do you think???

Quite the variances in both caster and camber side to side. Jason is still going to tell you it's horrible.

 

Well they certainly moved things around. Which UCA's do you have? Not stock are they.

I agree with Jason for the most part. The first one (colored) is just sloppy,and doesn't even pretend to be anything except a 'toe and go' which is basically only setting the toe by adjusting the TREs.

The second one is not any better. It looks like they got the caster much higher which would be fine except that it appears to have been done at the cost of camber. The camber numbers on the second one are very different from side to side and is probably visible just looking at the front wheels. That much negative camber on the right side is enough to cause excessive wear on that tire.



Replace all of your parts and get another alignment. Hopefully you can find a competent tech.

I do have stock UCA's. Ya'll think that's my main problem?? I guess I might as well replace everything since I have the parts. What a pain in the rear!
